Certainly an interesting article which brings up an interesting question all the same. I certainly never look to titles that people will Classify as Triple-A or "AAA" as not to long ago I had no clue as to it's meaning. Even now I still don't look to it and just try to find a way to test a game or even see videos alongside reviews.

Not only is it misleading sometimes, but majority of the time the genre may not be of ones favorite. Killzone 2 for example was a highly anticipated game and everyone loved it, I on the other hand bought it release date and thought it was pretty good. Though not being a fan of shooters it only goes so far for me, which is why I also do not have Halo 3 on my 360.

In essence I'm starting to see "AAA" as hyping up one game while a few other gems that could receive critical acclaim amongst gamers is slowly passed underneath the radar due to the focus being firmly fixated upon another game.

The term AAA has nothing to do with the quality of the game.
AAA game means the game has high production value,Stranglehold is a AAA game for example,Lair is AAA,another example,AAA doesn't mean good game,it means A game with high production values,A game with big budget, but ppl won't learn it,never.

3 - Interesting article
It's true not all hyped AAA games are woth all the retail price i could name a few but it would end up getting into a fanboy flaimbait war.

Games are about personal choice and I was just as excited about Dark Sector as I was about Metal Gear. I have played, completed and enjoyed over 80 games on both the PS3 and 360 ( and a few PC games ).

When I look at my friends lists on both console I mainly see call of duty or Halo 3. People do not know what they are missing out on!!!
