I would assume they never played the game and called it out as a James bond rip off based off the cheesy snake eater theme song which does sound like something out of James bond.

However one theme song does not a rip off make and calling it such is disrespect to the team behind the game.

I wouldnt call this game a rip off there are elements that a re verry bond inspired, the theme song, when you do good in the game you unlock the tuxedo (wonder where they got that from). The sexy ladies who all have a thing for snake.

I love this game and I dont think it is a rip off, but some of the bond elements made me like this game above the others. I think it pays homage to bond as a spy more than rips him off. I loved it.

Bond rip off. lol not quite but the snake eater song is and its great also.

MGM does not do justice to james bond his literature work like stated above is great most of them.

Eva is actually a huge ripoff of Tatiana, the Bond girl from "From Russia With Love." She even uses the name Tatiana once in the game. I'm not gonna spoil it for people who haven't played the game/seen the movie, but they serve pretty much the exact same purpose story-wise.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is a rip-off from James Bond what a joke i haven't seen jame bond ever eat snakes or anyother jungle creatures for that matter, so some of MGS3 came from James Bond but not all the stuff you seen in James Bond is in MGS3.

I think because the game is an espionage game, the writer called it as a James Bond rip off.... "Snake Eater", the title song is very Bond-esque but that surely doesn't make it a rip off. Perhaps the author thought that James Bond is the only spy in the world so anyone who makes a game based around espionage has to be copying :-S

Metal Gear Solid 3 is probably my favorite game of all time, not to mention the greatest game that graced the PS2 for me. There are small similarities like the Snake Eater theme song maybe but that is all that comes to mind when comparing the two(even though it obliterates all the james bond theme songs!!). If you have have never played the game before and if you did you would sense that there is nothing out like MGS3 and to call it a blatant rip-off, you must have the IQ equivalent to a snail - oh like the moron who wrote this crap from destructoid.

Ps. James Bond has nothing on Naked Snake :p

But Kojima took ALOT of influence from James Bond films with MGS3, He said this himself!

And seriously, N4G, I'm dissapointed.
This cut-scene has been known to be around, and is easy to get since the release of the game.
How this managed to get approved, and then make it upto the hot news stories I don't know.
