As expected, id have released a large update for their free-to-play browser-based game.

This update contains several substantial changes to Quake Live that have required a great deal of time and testing. Streamlined account registration and plug-in installation process, dozens of lost awards, competition features, and spectator/shoutcaster additions are included.
