I wasnt saying the game wont be great or look amazing, I was simply refering to the very same media you posted. If the xbox version does look that good when it ships the congratulations. I just dont think ANY console can meet those high end pc builds....

I'm actually MORE interested in this game now that it's exclusive and since they're basically claiming it's been built from the ground up on 360 hardware it'll be nice to finally see a game that (possibly) fully takes advantage of the 360.

5 of those disagrees came BEFORE I said it was a downgraded PC. There was no Sony fanboyism in my comment, only facts. The PS3 is weaker then a PC but it is a downgraded PC? Well, I don't know. The structure isn't similar which is the real reason why I specifically called out 360 on that one. Besides that it's just obvious the other consoles are inferior to PC, including the PS3. I doubt saying it the way you did would of changed the amount of agrees or disagrees I would of received. Fanboys just slam on the disagree button because they have strings attached to their backs.

Bringing my "Sony fanboyism" would be slamming this game until there's no tomorrow because it's only on 360 now. Did I do that? Uh...no, and if you read my comment for what it is then you would know that I'm playing this on 360 now. Does that make me a Sony fanboy or a gamer? I'll let you figure that out. And I didn't build a PC just for Alan Wake.

Look at Halo, Gears Of War, and all the other games being relesed first on 360 just to try to boost some console sales. It's not hard to see this, is it?

A game not being released for PC or PS3 or Wii, but on 360, is a 360-exclusive.

The people calling the 360 & PC games not exclusive are correct, and there's no connection between them being upset that Alan Wake is not being released on PC. A lot of them probably were hoping to play it on PC and don't have a 360.

No correlation.

I'm glad the 360 has another potential exclusive, but not to the detriment of the PC crowd. Largely because I am part of that crowd.

@Insomnia: You might as well throw Nintendo and Sony in there too. MS's 360 is in fact the console that shares the most of its games with PC. In that way, they are exception to the rule in console gaming. How many PS3/PC or Wii/PC titles are there? Very few if any.

Remedy are good PC developers. The only reason they would shelf the PC version that they have shown off is that Microsoft told them to. Which is a really crappy move on their part.

Make your own games Microsoft, instead of stealing PC games.

Well, after the first Gears game was great on PC AND had extra content that it was a no brainer we'd see it on PC when 2 came round but that hasn't happened, has it?

I also got a shedload of disagrees for just suggesting that MS might be taking the "well I'll play it on PC" attitude of some gamers more seriously than most of us do. Looks more of a possiblity now though, doesn't it?

While the PC version mught yet appear with so much work already done for it I don't think it will-No Fable2, no gears2 and now no AW for PC. Seems to me MS want to really push the 360 with exclusives that do not go to PC like Sony does. Even if it's timed and does appear n the PC a year later just who, who wanted to play it, won't either have done so by then or be interested in something else anyway? Noone, hardly, imo-cept those willing to pirate the game.

It's very tight on those gamers kept waiting for years for AW to have it pulled out from under them last minute though-and the fact we've lost much of the open world makes me wonder if they decided a while back to optimise AW fr 360 at the expense of the PC game.

I'm not shocked as I think we'll see more of this in the future. MS obviously make more from 360 sales and can recompense with Remedy accordingly as they know many copies would get pirated on PC in any case(even more than onm 360 it seems). Makes sense for mS and 360 but it's well hard on PC gamers isn't it, esp the honest majority.

Alan Wake indeed looks like a great game. I think Remedy wants to be bought by MS and probably the game already has taken so long they don't want to put in extra effort for the PC version.

Seems like Spring 2010 becomes a games packed time... Alan Wake, God of War III, Heavy Rain, Bioshock 2... Maybe GT5. Next year looks great for gamers that own multiple systems.

Well I have a PS3 and I'm extremely bummed by this since this is exactly the type of game I like. I mean, sure there are enough games coming out for both PS3 and Xbox, but I would sure loved to play this game as well.
Shame it's not coming out for the PC so I guess you can add me as well to the list of PS3 people planned to get it. Fair is fair, Alan Wake looks like a fun and deep game, it's the story appealing to me the most, just like with Indigo Prophecy (well just the first part with that game, the sci-fi stuff became extremely meh and didn't fit in AT ALL x.x)
