Take another look. The shot is actually in the background aimed at the female while hers is hitting a different character mid stomache. The guy in the front is being clawed.

2 - Getting just a little worn out by these types of articles
Bad enough it's not even correct information, but even if it was, who cares? shooting someone in the crotch has the same results as shooting someone around the skull. Much pain and probably fatal.
