Rebirth of the Single Player Narrative

The Power Review: In the age of a growing trend of digital distribution and online-only games, it seems almost antiquated to find any upcoming game to claim that they offer a single-player only experience. If nothing else, there is usually at least some sort of cooperative feature if not an online one. You would think this would be the case, however it seems that there has been a recent surge contrary to the trend that are developing and releasing titles with incredibly detailed and in depth single player only experiences.

Uncharted 1 and Dead Space are games that should be included for there deep single player campaigns.

My next 3 games will be single player: Infamous(PS3), X-edge(PS3), & Prototype (360)

Must have been written by a PS3 only owner as the only 360 game there is a multiplat.

RPGs still have the single player narrative though. Can't wait for Mass Effect 2!

Mass Effect on PC is pretty awesome, it was crap on Xbox though.

Mass effect should have been on there.... I was running up against a deadline.. and that was the one that missed the cut... I decided to not really focus on RPGs though.. since they're mainly storyline... so, they wouldn't really be anything out of the ordinary

Nar, it's still an awesome game on the 360, but Developers should really, really, really avoid the Unreal Engine 3. That's where the problems came from.

Ahh right, I think the Rainbow Six Vegas games have a decent narrative as well, not great but good.
