Why TNA Wrestling's Gears of War Ad is Better Off Staying an Ad

AJ Style's "Gears of War"-themed promotion for TNA Wrestling's Sacrifice pay-per-view is pretty cool, but thank goodness it's only an ad. Or, at least one should hope that it is, for Styles' sake.

Kombo looks back at the last time a wrestler from a major promotion dressed up as a video game character with a half-million dollar push, and how it didn't quite work out for the best.

Vaguely; didn't he sell his blue contact lens, too?

The part I remember is selling his entrance lights to Ernest Miller, who was befuddled by the whole thing, and changed it to play James Brown music.

Also remember him selling off his armor or helmet, the "400 year old armor" from his ninja master that had the police badge number of his brother engraved into it. I don't know what was crazier, Glacier's arrival, his tenure, or breaking kayfabe to get rid of it all.
