Capcom talks Marvel VS Capcom 3

Marvel VS Capcom 2 has gone down in the books as one of the best fighting games ever. Despite being released almost 10 years ago, the game is still heavily played at fighting game tournaments, a testament to it's greatness. Unfortunately, Capcom lost the license to Marvel shortly after it's release. But with the Marvel license free again(with the exception of Thor, Captain America, and the Incredible Hulk, owned by Sega), and the revival of the Street Fighter franchise, now would be the seemingly perfect time to revive the Marvel VS Capcom franchise.

No Hulk, Thor, or Captain America in part 3 sucks. I want a full out Capcom vs. Marvel Universe.

But I hope they bring the game out anyway. I tried buying the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 from gamestop and it cost $79.99. I'm waiting for a coupon so I can get 30% off of it before I buy it.

No no no i need Cap 'Merica to be in MvC3 if it comes out. I've pissed off so many of my friends off by pulling off a final justice just when they thought they were going to win. Though i would settle for MvC/2 on PSN and XBLA with regular vs online play ala MK2.

Unfortunately SF3 (3rd strike, giant attack and the original) is looked down on a bit because the mainstream media didn't like the characters. That and it was too technical for them. Someone halfway decent at parrying would make Hadoken's and Shoryuken's on wakeup and Jump in's superfluous. But again most people couldn't really get into it so it's pegged usually as "not as good as SF2T".

MvC2 is the onlt PS2 game I have and refuse to sale ever! Hell ill even take MvC2 HD at this point. MvC2 is by far my all time favorite fighting game, that might change depending on if SF4 lives up to the hype. On my way to get it right now for PS3!

I still play MvC2 (PS2) on my PS3 all the time, and I would still take it over SFIV (just played for 6 straight hours). SFIV is a GREAT fighter, but I would never trade my MvC2 for it:) MvC3 would be amazing if it looks like SFIV. I hope that they would keep the 3v3 aspect from MvC2, though.

13 - How many "hardcore gamers" on N4G

actually have MvC2 on DC. Because i do and have been playing this since it launched. Any other version of MvC2 is crap.

Also go get Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for Wii. I got it back in Dec, and play it constantly. There are umors of a TvC2 for this year already.
SFIV+TvC=fighting game heaven.
