1.1 - Hell yes!
Sonic 2 Boss theme rocks - so many memories. One Winged Angel is an excellent choice for #1. The only spurious absentee that comes to mind is the Zelda theme. Yes, it appears on every music theme list, but there is a reason; it's awesome, and definitely exhilirating.

I've had that Halo theme in my head all week and, unlike most other songs that get stuck in my head, I've enjoyed every minute of it. Such a great piece of music.

4.1 - When I saw the title...
Only 4 songs from video games came to my head that I will always remember.

- Metal Gear solid music when someone sees you and the pace picks up
- FF7: One Winged Angel and music that plays when you get into and win an encounter
- Zelda main theme

*Some MGS3 spoilers, I suppose*

Yes, "Snake Eater" is a great song and truly sets the mood when you're fighting the Boss... however the Mjolnir theme from Halo just seems to work in a lot more cases and really gets your blood pumping whenever it's played. Especially in the "Warthog escape scenes."

There is nothing "exhilarating" about Still Alive though. It's quite a good song that also happens to be extremely witty, but it's definitely not "exhilarating."

"Ozar Midrashim", the theme song to Soul Reaver on PS1, should be in the top 5. It is easily one of the best songs ever made let alone theme songs. Also, "You're Not Here", the theme song to Silent Hill 3, should also be in there.
