"A Blu-ray movie is to be released along with it the game much like that of Dead Space."
I read today that Sony is promising PlayStation 3 hybrid game/movie Blu-ray Discs (starting this year).
I think it would be grate if they could put the animation and the game on the same Disc.
Hope it turns out to be a great game. Wait and see....

I agree. DIGI-GUYS and the press have been talking this one up for years now with the same boring trailer. I know they're developing RTE1080 to go along with it, but boy is this taking forever.

If they intend to release it sometime this year, I want to see some new video like now.

For a game that is supposed to release this year there are NO in game screen shots, alpha in game footage to oogle over, nothing at all. I can only hope it is as good as they say BUT something deep down inside says to be cautiously optimistic.

There's plenty of in-game screenshots for Wardevil, here's one screenshot from my Flickr photo gallery:

For more screenshots just to go Wardevil.com, the screenshots in this game almost look like CGI. In 2008 Digi-guys released a very short in-game teaser trailer for the game as well, but that's about it.

However, due to the lack of updates, I also question whether or not it will be released this year as well.

The point of darkseiders's comment was that there is no footage...at all...that isn't CGI or been seen a million times. For all the hype this game is receiving, its very suspicious that no actual video has been shown. Sorry, but flickr pics don't count for much. Anyone can take a picture and make it look good. The only true measure of knowing if a game is decent is seeing some game play and in game graphics.

@ pixelsword- are you dense? Non-disclosure my a$$. If you don't know better, companies release footage to promote their game. The game has been hyped for 2 years now with nothing substantial to show. If the game is coming out in 09' there should be a point the publishers release info faster than a tortoise walks. Also, just because its exclusive to PS3 doesn't automatically mean its going to be good.

Its nice to know that many developers are looking at the ps3 to make their game on. I think Sony's next gen specs are actually starting to pay off. Developers are saying things like the ps3 was the ideal console for our game because of what its capable of.

Well, to tell the truth... i've only heard this game's developer, and the developer of inFamous say this, but its nice to know developers are looking at the PS3 to make their "dream game".

I'm really interested in the new engine. Let's see how it turns out. PLEASE DONT OVERHYPE THIS GAME.

I'm actually having some high hopes for Wardevil. Considering that the dev's working on it has gotten the game to look so amazing graphically, it makes me assume that they know what they're doing with the PS3 and they are really pushing the system.

Since there has been little to no info of this game at all, I'm not sure if it'll be released in 2009, but Wardevil in 2009 and then God of War 3 in 2010 (most likely) would be awesome.

but I think I actually like it better when games are not announced six years in advance and then hyped up for three years. It seems like it puts pressure on the developers to meet expectations that just aren't attainable in direct relation to the amount of hype surmounting their title. However, I do have to say that most of the PS3 exclusives have managed to live up to the tremendous hype in regards to being incredible games (LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, etc.). It just drives me crazy when games like Final Fantasy and Killzone are talked about for like four years before they actually come out. It makes it so difficult for the games to live up to the hype when all anyone ever talks about is those games for three to four years straight. I have very little doubt that Wardevil will be an excellent game though.
