Rumor: Friend codes, 16 players online for The Conduit

Nintendo Power promised the scoop on The Conduit's multiplayer mode, but a few early details have apparently been released. If the latest rumors are to be believed, The Conduit will support 16 players online and will include friend codes.

I'm with you Product, I don't see the FC's as too big a deal especially if the game has smooth online like MK. Plus with Wii Speak, this is sounding like a great time.

I just think of it as these devs are trying so hard to make this game for the fans by the fans so im confident that their online setup will be great.MK was really good but i feel this online will actually be better since they are looking to fans for so much inspiration.

It is a pain iin the @ss simply because both need to input a FC.
Nintendo really missed it with this one. They have parental lock and yet don't use it as, let's say Microsoft is.

It annoys me that Nintendo came up with such a lame, pathetic solution.

Now i'm not really against FC but they are SLOW.
I rather type in one code and or recieve one and just confirm. Not wait till some one gives me feed back trough a PM or phone call that he or she added me too.

Mario kart works great in a sense, but i've only added 2 people do my friendlist.
It's just sad.

Friend codes would make no sense for such a product, especially if the game is, I assume, to get an M rating.

The only people that would memorize friend codes would be hardcore gamers...

...like the one's that buy M rated games.

with you on the single player which im really looking forward to.
Also like to point out that i really hope this game has really good puzzles to solve with the ASE.I like a challenge so i hope they are hard.Thats what im looking for with this game is something that is a challenge, something lacking in the FPS genre right now on every system imo.

I think HVS already said they can't avoid the FC with the resources they have.
Wasn't it already confirmed they are going with FC?

Hey werent both of these already rumored/confirmed?? 16player online and friend codes? Sounds really familiar. But yeah i am so getting this game, it is a first day buy, and Dead Space Wii im getting that too, just announced today amazing! and Boom Blox 2 wont use friend codes so i guess its possible to amke a game that doesnt use friend codes, and yes Boom Blox 2 is online and it lets you share stages that you created with friends and try their stages. but yeah back to this game, it is looking sweet! Cant wait

Nintendo should make a wii channel for friend codes according to age/ type of game you like to play and you just click to request that person to be added to your friend list. Simple no? Parental lock according to how parents want to use that.

Btw you heard it here first U.S. trademarks ™ (*_*)

I really wish it was more like pc gaming where you play with random people and can just click on their name and click on add.
I think after the initial parental control like in a pc you as a parent shouldnt have to go any further if you dont like.
I think they should redesign the parental control where its all check boxes and you would check box certain criteria for your child.
There would be check boxes for every rating from E-M then you could go in an check box the game ratings your child was able to play and or watch.
Other check boxes could include being able to download channels/games and friend codes.

I personally think the system should come setup where you dont need friend codes and it works just like any other consoles......if you need friend codes just check mark the box its in in the parental control.Boom your done.
Its simple really i dont understand why Nintendo is forcing parental control to do stuff.......i think they should make a firmware update on that where it puts more control to the parents that way allowing people who are of age to enjoy the wii like the rest of the consoles in this area yet giving parents the flexibilty they need to control what their child is looking and playing with.

Unfortunately right now parents come first then gamers with the way Nintendo has stuff set up and thats good but not being able to make your wii free from anything for the true online gamer sucks..

And Nintendo knew of such solutions, they aren't idiots.
But they are idiots, for not making it >_<.

(yeah a contradiction, but even Nintendo is being a dumb@ss about this. I mean Lots of games on the Wii would be having a great online mode....T_______T

"Unfortunately right now parents come first then gamers with the way Nintendo has stuff set up and thats good but not being able to make your wii free from anything for the true online gamer sucks.."

But that doesn't make sense! I mean if parents came first they would have made a system that PARENTS could take full advantage of.
As of right now, if some kid goes online( as in chat applications on your PC) and meets this pedo-dude and they add eachother... i mean c'mon...

It's weird but their is a big scare over in japan about child predators targeting online game forums. This can be a problem here but really I thinks it's pretty bad over in japan.

I'm for it and against it yet gaming works much better on auto pilot. I'm sure I will still have fun and see you all online. Another thing is I would rather play some of the people I see on these forums rather than random unknowns so I'll be putting up my code in my profile.

can someone give me the source of where that guy from High Voltage said that? I mean, is very likely that this will happen and is already known that the game supports 16 players. But I just want the real source where that guy said that?
