Although I found Vegas brilliant, RV2 was the same....which is not what I want for another installment so I would be a little cautious.

I never played the GRAW series but I always wanted to try it. This is my chance. Rainbow was brilliant but the graphics were horrible.

Don't hate me, but I detest both of those games, in all their iterations. Not sure why, just can't seem to enjoy them. Friends are all avid fans so this will be great news for them. Hopefully the new installments will change my opinions, I want to like them, I really do.

looking frwd 2 more news on this. graw was a pretty gd game but i couldn't get into it. loved vegas 1 and 2 although 2 wasn't an advancement at all on the previous game. tbh both gwaw1+2 and vegas1+2 didn't have many improvements so i really hope they take the franchises on 2 better places with these next installments. I'd quite like to see rb6 going back to just being an fps but doubt it tbh

due to UBI's p*ss poor attitude to sorting out bugs in their games (Farcry 2 still isn't fixed after all this time, and from what a few have said neither has Rainbow 6 2 Vegas)

Hmm i'm a little skeptical tbh.. I don't care for single player but I love to do mp with my friends and to be honest, graw 2 and r6v2 were more like an expansion pack than a sequel and certainly didn't justify the price tag. I mean look at r6v2.. the lag in that game is a joke and to me it seemed as if they didn't even work to optimise the net code at all!

I like Graw2 over RB6. And RB6V2 over the first, simply because of the terrorist hunt thing. Gives you a lot replay value. Even if not online. The 2 player co-op was one of the few games at the time, and on the PS3, v2 was playable compared to 1 (frame rate!). Graw2 had astounding visuals for the time (and they are still good). The bot missions are also something which not a lot of games bring to the table (actually, almost none other game does that, yet). RB6V2 didn't have the best visuals, but they weren't bad either (UE3!). Online, actually, I don't know. Never bothered to much with online in these games, the bot modes kept me busy.

I felt underwhelmed by both franchises being the fans of the first of both iterations back in the PC/PS2 days. I enjoyed GRAW1/2 and R6V1/2 however the missing factor that I'm sure many veterans will want back is the ability to control multiple squads or at least have a bunch of AI soldiers giving you backup. Both games make the Ghost Squad and Six feel like "godly squads" -sending you in as only a 3-4 man team to wipe out an obviously bigger force.

The lack of realism in that respect kind of disappointed me and amounted both series to nothing but another "hero" when that's not the point of Ghost or Six at all. It's tactical espionage, not "let's send in that 'one squad' to clean up the baddies, save the hostage, and send someone in solo". If anyone here's read the book: alot of Six's operations is done covertly like the Ghost Recon, but there's much more than just one-squad. If GRAW ever gets a sequel or R6V ever gets one. What would make me happy is if in cooperative: the 2nd player also gets his/her own squadmates as well.

yeh vegas 2 on ps3 was unplayable online for about the first month then without even so much as a patch it was fine. it was always a bit of an unstable game tho with frame rate drops and so on. seemed like a rushed product and was out pretty soon after the first (it showed)

surprisingly though the 360 version also suffered badly in the first few weeks with servers.

end of the day ubi have gone downhill but i bet i'll still buy these haha

what city could they use?? vegas was perfect for the game but now that they have 2 R6 games set in vegas, this one definitely wont be in vegas

I just like the gameplay, being more teamwork oriented and more realistic. For example, I still play Graw2 and the new maps just even add more fun. I tried RSV2 on PC and 360, and I got to say, the PC one is horrid because they didn't optimize it right.
