It's hard to believe, but it has been three years since the "Hot Coffee" fiasco that threw video games into the judgmental spotlight of the mainstream media. However, when compared to the true story of 2005, the release of the Xbox 360, "Hot Coffee" was just a blip on the radar.

On their weekly countdown of the top ten games of every year since 1990, Binge Gamer has come to 2005: the year that gave the world God of War, Resident Evil 4 and the painfully overlooked Psychonauts.

where the hell is splinter cell:chaos theory,it was one of the best games ever imho

The first Killzone came out in 2004, not 05'. Aside from the technical issues, to me Killzone 1 was a pretty good game though and it was definantly one of most realistic FPS on the PS2.

And yeah I agree, God of War and Shadow of the Colossus were my favorites in 05' as well. I've beaten Shadow of the Colossus like 4 or 5 times, I just can't get enough of that game.

The original Killzone had its issues, but I still enjoyed playing it. I would still put Black ahead of it though.

i think killzone 1 has become a myth that people rag on although they never really played the game to see it was acually not that bad. Everyone else says its bad so it has to be right........no wrong.
