3D Realms "Bewildered" by Max Payne Flick

20th Century Fox said over the weekend that revenues from the new Mark Wahlberg-starring game-movie Max Payne hit $18 million in North America, topping the box office.

Reviews have been roundly terrible, however. Even Scott Miller, CEO of 3D Realms, the producer behind the Max Payne games, found the flick straying significantly from its source material.

"There are several fundamental story flaws ... in the film that have me shaking my head in bewilderment," Miller told Edge

Silent Hill was good. They really nailed the style, and using the game's excellent soundtrack was extra win.

Luckily, Gears of War and Bioshock have strong directors and writers behind them. So those should be at least decent.

Also, Blizzard can't mess "Warcraft" up THAT much.

.......I hope.

Brett Ratner is OK, so I guess God of War will be good to. I don't know why this movie sucked.

3.1 - Agree
If i made it, it would have been banned. It would have been so radical, I think it would have been better than the Dark Knight. I would also of won every Oscar, just of the trailer.

I liked Final Fantasy Advent Children, Silent Hill, DooM , The first Mortal Kombat and the RE's. They could of been better but they are worthy. I liked that show Mortal Kombat Conquest too.

7 - So who actually went and saw it?
The critics hated it and gamers knew it wouldn't deliver, but still it topped the box office in the US.

8 - They should follow the storyline of the game
I didn't see it, but my sister saw and she thought it was crap. This is not a surpise at all cause video game movies always suck. The only good video game movie is Silent Hill. Why? because it follow the game story to some degree.
