...Well no s*** Sherlock...

They were actually comparing a guy who was the "second string" director of the third "X-Men" movie to directors of more critically acclaimed and not to mention more "epic" movies??

Give me a break...

3 - Maybe
if he makes the movie R-rated it can turn out to be "decent".

Otherwise I feel bad for Kratos right now.

3.2 - I'm not excited about Ratner either...
But he made the remake of Red Dragon. And that was a pretty good dark and bloody thriller. Hard to mess up a Hannibal movie though.

All in all he might pull it of, we could have ended up with a much worse director...

Who is directing Ramayan 3392? That is being turned into a movie and also a game by Sony - another PS3 exclusive.

Ramayan 3392 AD, is the same story as the mythology about Ramayan in Hindu mythology. There are some changes made to the story according to the wikipedia link, but is the same thing.

Ramayan 3392 AD is not worth it. Would like to see in a video game, but the story line is very predictable.

Since the first two X-Men movies were pretty good, what about Bryan Singer(sp?)?

Uhh.. hell no. If he can screw up Superman, what makes you think he would do anything great with Kratos?

One bad movie is a mistake. A kid can fail a test but then get 100% on the next ones. People learn from their mistakes.

10 - Only reason why..
Movies like X-Men 3, Fantastic 4, and other super hero movies is one man "Tom Rothman" Who restricts creative freedom which all directors that's worked for him complained about.

James Cameron could have made a better Transformers, so what? If Jon Favreau can direct the quite good Ironman, I think Brett may, just may be able to make a good God of War. It's all about casting. I vote Christian Bale. That guy can play any role.

What about John Hughes version where Kratos gets left
at home alone for the weekend. Then robbers try to break in..........

is the guy who will be playing Kratos. I can't think of one person that would fit in well.

13.2 - I 'member Jaffe wanted...
Djimon Housou (Black dude from Gladiator) to play as Kratos. Yeah, I know, I know, I know, I know. But come on y'all, home boy is a really good actor.

But anywhoooo... they could also try and get some other cat and work em out like they did in "300" (by the way, GoW would be awesome if it was made like "300" just my opinion).

But PLEASE, don't get Dwayne Johnson or Vin Diesel. PLEASE. It'll be better just to get one of the "300" dudes. :P

Guillermo del Toro: Would be awesome to do a Silent Hill movie

Robert Rodriguez: Resident Evil or Dead Space

James Cameron: Mass Effect

Zack Snyder: No doubt he should be the one to do God of War

17 - Well, lets see..
Directors who would do a better job:
1. Anyone (exception being those listed below)

Directors who would do a worse job:
1. Uwe Boll
2. Paul Anderson

Not looking so hot for Mr. Ratner and his GoW adaptation..

18 - Ridley Scott
Gladiator is one of my top movies and Ridley Scott knows how to make a movie. Even Tony Scott(Man on Fire) his brother, would be good. However if Bret Ratner gets a good script, a good cinematographer, and a good editor, he can put together one hell of a film.

I really liked the Rush Hour movies (minus the pretty sub-par Rush Hour 3). But i lost respect for Ratner after what he did to the X-men movie franchise. X-3 wasnt interesting at all, lots of mutant cameos, but no idea how to use them properly. Ratner would be the last person i'd pick 2 helm something as epic as GOW (God of War not Gears, Kratos would pwn Marcus Fenix n e day of the week). Peter Jackson, or n e of the directors listed would do a better job.

19.1 - Check imdb...
They blame the Fox producer for X3. He apparently butchers most projects he supervises. Other movies he ruined: Daredevil and Alien V Predator...
