"I guess the only thing I'd say that wasn't fair is the stuff about me and my Halo fanboyism. Yes, I did score the last two games the highest possible scores, and I like featuring them in the magazine, but for one very specific reason: Everything "Halo" sells extremely well for us. Just like in the old days...EGM put Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter on every cover for a while 'cause it moved issues at newsstands. It's just a business choice (ask GamePro about that...they did extra Halo covers as well because their first one was almost double the sales of their next best-selling issue"

I see.I just thought it was unfair that many other games that could have been featured on EGM like Boom Blox,Mass Effect,or Uncharted could have been featured on the front page.The difference between Street Fughter/MK and Halo 3 is that back then those games were more recognizable.Halo 3 on the other hand already had its own hype engine just fine and I just think that some other games could have been featured to get their own spotlight.

As he said, if they would have had Boom Blox,Mass Effect or Uncharted on the cover they wouldn't have sold as many issues of their magazine. Halo is a much bigger franchise and draws much more attention. They did the same thing with GTA games and GTA IV in particular. If they don't do it someone else will, and they will lose potential incomes.

I love the fact that he's honest about it. At the end of the day they it's about earning the dollar.

5 - You sony fanboys are sorry!
You attack anyone who tells the truth about your PS3. Shoe wouldn't sell out to sony and nintendo or ubisoft and they blackballed EGM.Talking about a bunch of children throwing a tantrum. Just because a website wouldn't guarantee them a score a head of time. So these cry baby companies throw a fit because they cant buy a favorable review from EGM and you dumb @^%$# cheer them for it.

Fine buy games from sell out game reviews sites that will say anything publishers say.They threaten to remove their advertising if they dont get their way. But i dont like paying 60 bucks for games that suck so thats why i used EGM reviews because they had a history of standing up to these childish tactics. I've followed shoe and EGM for years and shoe never put up with that crap. He would tell the publishers to keep their damn game review builds rather than sell out.

How childish are these game publishers and you fanboys no other industry puts up with this type of crap. And thats why games dont get the proper respect from other journalist or the government.

5.1 - Sony deserved to blackball EGM
They, along with website brother 1UP are the worst "professional" gaming websites I've ever seen. The fanboyism is unchecked, especially with Shoe, and locking them out of unfairly reviewing games is not a good thing - it's a GREAT thing.

5.2 - "YOU SONY FANBOYS"
The fact that you only blame Sony fanboys (not Xbox fanboys, Nintendo fanboys, Mac fanboys, General Electric fanboys, Burger King fanboys, etcetera) speaks volumes of your intelligence. And of course, who you are siding with or at least who you will never side with.

And by the way, if Shoe is not as a sell out as you are saying, then why did he just admit to put the "Big Games" because they sell more? Basically, a sellout. He sacrificed editorial integrity in favor of money, which is ok since magazines are business. But to pretend he isn't a sellout just because you happen to be a fanboy that agrees with his choices made out for the love of money doesn't mean he isn't a sellout, it just means that you are blind.

Shoe basically admitted he is a hypocrite, considering all he ranted about games journalism and publishers and stupid bull and afterwards saying "yeah, we like money". Whoever banned EGM probably didn't want to pay the price other publishers wanted to because they didn't think it was worth it. Dan Shoe was simply doing pre-emptive damage control in case they got in a Gamestop-like mess.

Remember, this is the @$$hole who thought it'd be a good idea to suck off Epic while trying to appear objective.
He makes Gears sound severely flawed, then gives it a 10. Yeah, like he wasn't undermined by publishers etc. He's a huge MS fanboy.

I really hope PS3 comes in last place this generation. Because all you PS3 fanboys will be contemplating suicide because your just that stupid.
