Fox News: We report… about 5 years late

Fox News weighs in on America's Army, the video game... About five years too late and Sarcasticgamer.com calls them on it.

From the article: "What I do care about is how horribly misinformed and uninformed these professional journalists are about the fastest growing and highest grossing form of entertainment in the world. At what point are news organizations going to catch on and stop assigning the guy who stands in hurricanes to talk about how the wind is blowing really hard, to cover a story about gaming?"

Keep your political opinions to yourself. This is a gaming site and I really dont care what you think about politics.

Anyway, Fox is a million times better than MSNBC. They spew out pure garbage everyday. I just dont think Fox should report gaming news.

If you don't care for his political views then ignore him, and me for that matter as I will say that I agree with him. Both Bush and McCain are plain idiots.

I don't agree with pretty much everyone on Fox News - in fact I can't even watch it because it makes me angry, but that's the case with most mainstream news. Anyway - you're totally off-topic, and your grammar is very poor.

Its not that they are stupid, its because they KNOW what they are doing and so does Bush as well as the candidates. Its the plan for a New World Order...to enslave Americans and threaten to Nuke other countries if they don't bow to the new world order policies. And I'm not trying to scare people.

I totally agree with everything you said. Not just fox, but the other political news stations should not report gaming news.

2 - SG is Wrong
SG screwed up here. This report is about the "Virtual Army Experience" tour - http://vae.americasarmy.com... - that is going on right now.

Pot calling the kettle black if ever there was eh?

The games they're showing are from almost a year ago though...

Is it a year old? Is it 5 years old? Please watch the video and do 5 seconds of research before commenting. The VAE tour is going on right now and into the next few months. Is it only OK to report on things the instant they begin?

This is not the same thing as FN saying Mass Effect is porn, OK? Granted, mainstream news is totally out of step with gaming in general, but in this case SG is just making hay. SG is often spot on and quite funny, but in this case they are jumping to conclusions and making arses of themselves.

2.1 Hes right there not talking about Americas Army, its a new game called Virtual Army Experience. It looks good, its like an arcade game but your sitting in a Hummer while you play it and you also use replica guns to shoot. That would be so much fun.

Sarcasticgamer credibility just went out the window, if they had any to begin with.

Watching news in general is totally useless. They hardly ever report on anything that really matters and when they do they are grossly misinformed about the subject at hand. I'm not just referring to gaming here. Almost everything has this problem. The reason we call out news stations and such is that we are gamers and we call BS when they don't bother putting effort into covering a subject that we care about.

I don't watch news and I don't remember a time in which I did as there is really no point. I know where to go to get the news i need to know and that's how I do it. I feel sorry for people who tune into the news each day.

Before you continue your ranting about fox news and how dumb they are, please realize that this article is addressing the COMPLETELY WRONG GAME. The virtual experience is NOT the the online game, it's a traveling exhibit that is going on right now. So feel free to trash the writer of the article as willingly as you just trashed fox news.

I tried to reason with them a few comments up - no dice. People just see "Fox News" and get all excited about another opportunity to rant.

Let's try to use our own brains people. SG got it wrong.

Bubbles for sense.

Mainstream media's absurd take on Videogame Culture or the ignorant response of said Videogame Culture to mainstream media.

MM: video games casue all violence by going back in time and currupting Cain to kill Able.
VC: Fox News is run by secret government Nazi who are trying to destroy videogames in a plot to brainwash us!

I just can't take it anymore...oh no I'm slipping..into...blackout...ra ge!
