Bioshock returns

That Gaming Site have publsihed an article about exclusivity of Bioshock 2.

This leads me onto the next topic. With all this support it seems that the studio are getting on well with PS3, so will Bioshock 2 be a simultaneous launch?

If it does happen, will it be as huge as Final Fantasy going to XBOX?

I mean I know that BIOSHOCK is already coming, but SIMULTANEOUS seems a bit more serious than getting it almost a year later.

I wouldn't say as big as FF, that was a Sony franchise for years, so pritty big effect when it comes to both. I would say its more of a UT3 or something along that line.

hopefully it will arrive on both consoles at the same time. Everyone, just like Final Fantasy 13, deserves to play a class A game like the Bioshock series.

It's a shame when you are restricted to games just because of the desision of your purchase of choice.

More than likely though, with Microsoft they way they are, there will some sort of 6 month exclusivity to Bioshock 2. They probably had something in place since the original Bioshock.

I'm sure we'll all find out soon enough!!

Not really, Bioshock didn't even released exclusively on the X360 as there was a PC version too and now a PS3 version as well...so we are not talking about a exclusive franchise during years completely identify with MSFT like for example Halo....and now Gears

Bioshock 2 is now in sale as a time-exclusive to the best bidder (only MSFT will pay for that, already did probably)...I'm sure Bioshock 2 will release first on the X360 and then on the PS3.

I don't see any impact on PS3 sales because of that....FFXIII on the X360 will neither have any big impact on PS3 sales, great adquisition for X360 owners but people getting a console to play FFXIII is getting a PS3 anyway...why?

because if you like FF then you are hardcore gamer = well informed about other games coming to PS3 = well informed about X360 version being a PC port = You've enjoyed FF games on PS why to try anything else = You know any potential exclusive XBL DLC is just BS like GTAIV's...isn't? no one knows yet what it is or if it will come out...only an idiot would buy a console for DLC that no one knows what it will be.

Bioshock 2 is probably not due until winter 2009 at the earliest.

The whole point with releasing Bioshock on PS3 is so they can release the sequel on it too. It would be stupid to piss off PS3 owners. But MS sure will try...

7 - ff13 xbox so what?
Why does everybody go on about ff13 going to xbox?
Facts sony own a 10% of enix,Also in japan were 60% of japanese will buy it,as its exclusive there.

Even if microsoft throw even more money about,i am sure the 5 xbox owners in japan will be happy!!.
What the doom and gloom oh! no ff13s being ported merchants dont relise.

True Sony beat out HD DVD, but that's just the beginning. Now they have to convince the consumer that BD is worth the price jump over DVD. I don't really think that'll happen. DVD is still king.

Yea dvd is king for now but people are really starting to get into HD. Once it really catches there will be no going back. Its like having the interent, you will hate it if you get it cut off.

People constantly upgrade TV's. eventually they will get a HD tv. then with that they will see how Sh!t DVD's look on HDTV. and will realsise bluray is the way to go..

Honestly DVD looks so blury. which is fair, considering its pixles have to be doubled.

but yeah. once they pounce for a HDTV, bluray will be the way.

i think ff13 is gona hit sony hard lossing one of its biggest first party tittles to xbox360 but from what ive read ff13 is gonna be a lot of space how many dvd will the 360 need or will square enix down grade ff13 thats what im worried about mainly and how did sony lose ff13 but keep ff13 verses kida weid to me

since when has FFXIII been a first party title?
Uncharted, Warhawk, etc are first party titles. made by first party devs.

SE isnt owned by sony. so FF isnt first party.

I think you are mistaking First party with exclusive.
SE decided to make FFXIII multiplat mabye it they got some "Help" from MS, or mabye they needed to do that to cover for development costs, no-one knows.

They decided to keep verses exclusive to PS3, how is it hard to understand. SE has multiple X360 titles in the works too.

Personally i hated bioshock 1 on any console its just a non stop gorefest with frustrating gameplay. i'm not sure how bioshock 2's story would turn out after the first one you killed the head guy so rapture is yours now i guess they'd have you kinda playing as 'Andrew Ryan' sort of position or moppying up rapture i dunno but i will NOT be buying bioshock 1 2 3 or a thousand.
