Half-Life 2 even better: New screens of texture mod

The infamous texture mod for HL2, Cinematic Mod 8, is becoming a major overhaul with Beta 3. New screens that show the improvements have appeared on PCGHx.com. The civilians and resistance fighter look brillant now, and there is word of a "more unsexy model of Alyx".

Don't download this mod and stop supporting this guy. -_-

The creator is a whiny kid who keeps on stealing other content from other modelers, mappers, skinners etc. He also can't take critism well and most of the community actually hates him, he also makes textures, skins etc way too big which increases the file size and theres also the fact that the Source engine can resize textures so no need for insanely big textures or skins for that matter.

There are plenty of great Half Life mod that shows the power of PC gaming. But this isn't one of them. In fact, this one sucks. Go download any of the portal mods or total conversions like Insurgency or Eternal Silence.

I own HL2 for PC, but monkeying around with amateur mods is more work than fun. If they make some official DLC, I'm in.

Annoying mods like this are keeping this game from sinking under. It's been 4 years and since then the games popularity hasnt died down at all and i am completely bored of it. Let HL2 go already!!

she is looking sexy to me compared to the original, but then again, i'm not one to go back and play games that i already beat. only because there are too many other games that i still need to play, and there is always multiplayer in other games to kepp me busy
