Shenmue III at E3? "No comment"

VG247: Sega's just issued on a "no comment" on rumours last week that Shenmue III is to be shown at this year's E3.

I don't think they will ever make a ShenMue III. It's a truly sad thing, but you can't help it - except if you can get Yu Suzuki to make it and fund the game, which could easily rack up hundreds of millions. Project Berkley was, at it's time, the most expensive game to ever be created and it was one of the greatest experiences as gamer for me. The cost's almost killed SEGA. They canned ShenMue Online, which was supposed to tell the remaining chapters of the story, after years of being in development.
ShenMue is dead, let's all face it. Even from an economic standpoint, it wouldn't make sense. Only very few people still remember the game and would like to see a sequel.
Now excuse me, I need to cry over the loss of the series now.
