Just imagine if Sony actually built an in-Home representation of E3 (at the appropriate time of the year) to roam around and to check out each publisher's booths. All while experiencing the latest and greatest (announcements, screenshots, videos, trailers, demos, etc.) without having to leave your home. Now that would be pretty sweet.

lol imagine if it had the ability to punch people
that would cause alloty of trouble but it just funny to think it.
well anyway it would be cool to also be able to download those exclusive demos
you know, they can have allot of player play them but as soon as the event is over the demo wont be able to be downloaded again and will be deleted, that way they can keep them exclusive to the event.

XMB will come in time and will be better than what you have pictured in your head as with home. People have spent way too much time criticizing home and sony in general for over promising, missing target dates and so on. This is a small sample why they wanted to hold off. I'm sure this is just scratching the surface on the whole home thing. IMO people will look back at 07 and slap them selfs for doubting the ps3

thats all very well u lick sonys ar.. but i dont care who they are !they said november for home seems to me it was a sales pitch.and then it was spring !wat hapns next autumn ?or we have decided not to release home or xmb?there a massive company they should stop lieing !there not the only company but i might of waited to buy a ps3 if id of known they where going to keep changing dates ! still people like you castags make it soooo much easier 4 them cus you defend them no matter wat grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

you need to calm down a little. he didnt actually say to much wrong. home would be released now if it wasnt for kaz. he delayed it because he wasnt happy with it. its not lyin, things do get unintentionally delayed. and when kaz took over they jus got delayed further. im glad it as. i think you jus want something to slag sony off for.

9 - and i also love the fact that you can share videos with each other in your apartment.
and the idea of developers having there own spaces and us always getting sneak previews or exclusive previews of things. this is a good way to advertise while keeping it elegant and not forced on you.

and then just walking around playing different booth games with people(i will own at chess)

oh man, why did home have to get delayed.

MGS4, RESISTANCE 2, LITTLE BIG PLANET, MOTORSTORM 2, SOCOM,VIDEO DOWNLOAD SERVICE, and................HOME.

this is definetely the year to own a playstation and if you don't have one by 09 then the only excuse for that should be a price tag.

a realible system with great games here and coming with a free supreme online service that is rapidly and ever extending. this is gaming paradise...........

sony has only really gotton into the online for almost 2 years now and look how far they've gone already.

I think people are now understanding a little better of what HOME is and is about. It's not a frikgen sims/second life game, it's not a game at all - it's a service the likes the world has not seen to this capcity ever before and it, by the grace of God, will be glorious and the envy of all other consoles.

This is better than all that! You would in theory would be able to go to GDC, E3, Sony's Gamers Day, Leipzig and all the others,which would be amazing with the timed exclusive demos, like one of the gamers said above. My only concern is the imitation from other companies, look at little big planet, it was shown way to early and now Banjo 3 is looking suspiciously similar. I'm telling by 09, 360 will become Second Life compatible or get exclusive rights to the console edition of Sims 3 or something ludicrous like that. Mark my words . . .

21 - I want my "Home" to be Liberty City.
Sony should just buy out Rockstar and intergrate Home into Liberty City. If I want to invite my friends to game of KZ2 I'll just call them up on my trusty cell phone, and when I'm bored I can run over other Home users with my car or beat them up with a baseball bat. Anything goes, Home should be total free for all PvP enviroment. Now thats playing beyond.

It's this sort of stuff that makes me think HOME will actually be a worth while effort. Up to now I've been kinda skeptical of why I would want to use it, but the more I hear the more I think it'll be a nice addition to the PS3.

It's also good to see 3rd parties being used to test the features of HOME. Not only does it make me think it'll be a robust piece of software when it launches, but also that 3rd parties will be on-board (and with experience of actually using HOME features) from day 1.
