Banjo-Kazooie lets players pimp their rides Lego-style

Hands-on impressions of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Too Human from a game journalist with the Globe & Mail who attended Microsoft's Gamers' Day. From the story:

"Too Human has marvellously frenetic action-packed battles in which players seamlessly switch between melee and ballistic weapons as they cut down scores of opponents in mere minutes. A second player can get in on the action in co-operative play, enabling simultaneous smackdowns.

However, I never really felt as though I was in control of my character's actions. He had a tendency to leap around the screen and target new enemies before finishing with the ones he was currently fighting. I won't write off the combat-what I experienced was, after all, an unfinished game-but I do hope that the final product makes me feel as though I have a little more say in my hero's frantic fighting style.

I was more impressed by Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts..."

Yeah, Banjo was the surprise for me too. I think its great that a console known more for its hardcore audience, its a platformer that caught my attention.
