I can see what you mean the textures look a little low-res, and the floor texture looks completely flat (i.e. no bump mapping) in some areas. But bear in mind that this is work in progress so it will be better in the final version.

The workshop thing looks like a copy of the Gummi Ship thing in Kingdom Hearts, also the title "Nuts & Bolts" sounds like it should be a Ratchet & Clank game...seriously.

I don't know. Judging from that trailer, this looks more like a spin off title that a Banjo sequel. Well kudos to rare for some originality but can't say it got me excited. Wasn't really excited to begin with anyway. The part where 1 ship broke off and formed a type of jet was pretty cool though

I was kinda hyped after the screenshots leaked, but this trailer left me with a huge ? on my forehead.

oh rare...what have you done?
please tell me this is for xbox live arcade edition and not full retail game...if someone told me this was n64 footage, I would have believed them...only hope is that it must be early alpha stage footage...look where super mario galaxy was and ratchet and clank reached...this looks like it is from two generations ago...

Edit: after watching the trailer more then a couple of times..I think that if they're going after lbp i.e. it is going to be marketed as the x360 equivalent to LBP, they really will get owned...seems like they're having a go at mario too...thinking big helps I suppose...I'm still muddled...why would they not turn up the heat on visual and sound side...both were really, almost 'garage' quality...here's to hoping that this is really early...

yeah i know it's not finished or anything, but questions to ask yourself

--------who would get excited for this game except kids?

---------if they will make it hella easy?

--------- will sell or not?

I respect gears and ninja gaiden and everything, but this is not AAA or AA title in any aspect.

MICROSOFT is aiming for the kids, not anyone on this site.

Yeah.... actually I agree that I was more excited for the game before I saw that trailer. And whoever mentioned the Gummi Ship from Kingdom Hearts is right on, it immediately reminded me of that too.

I was hoping the big brass gameplay mechanic Rare was touting after the screens had been leaked, was co-op platforming. That would be something to be excited about, this ...I'm not sure now.

I find it funny that everyone is talking about the technical parts of this game and no one has said anything about the gameplay or does it look fun. It looks like it could be fun but I would like to see some more gameplay other than driving around.

you have seen 2 mins...how can you come up with that conclusion? if you have xbox live go to inside xbox and watch the interview with Rare that has just bee posted, it shows more footage plus the dev saying that its mostly platforming with the option of flying and driving

Well Viva Pinata has sold over 1.2million copies with very little promotion from Microsoft.So if that game can do that then this will definately do more and expect alot of marketing for this game.

And honestly, i am temporarily sick of FPS.i want more variety and i have not played a platformer in ages so will definately pick this up.

I agree in that I'm personally not interested in this game just like Ratchet didn't do anything for me either... but I'm sure alot of younger gamers like my nephews (& some older too) will love this game. I think it will sell very well actually.

I thought it was a flop. See what happen when you listen to fanboys talking trash. 1.2 mill is a excellent base. I was wondering why they were making a part 2.

Call me crazy, but I would really like Rarae to make PDZ2. The first one was good for its time. Ithink now that developers have gotten use to the hardware they can really bring that world to life.

Same here, it looks better and better every time they release information.

There is much yet to be learned, like some details on multiplayer.

Oh, and I _LOVED_ the Launch-platform-ejects-flyer only to shoot that big mario.

Did you notice the big mario seemed to be constructed by different items stacked? like a big pile of "stuff".

It looks like mix of several different genre's.(GTA PLATFORMER RACER SHOOTER FLIGHT SIMULATOR...LEGO ) The vehicle customization reminds me of the kingdom hearts gummi ship. It will be interesting too see if they can put all this stuff together and make it work.(fun) But does it excite me...no.
It doesn't me get all worked up like mario galaxy did...if you can even compare the two. I will say this it looks great graphic wise. All thats
left now is whether its fun or not.

Now, I've said a lot of bad things about the Wii in the past as I really don't rate the machine very highly as a piece of hardware, but Mario on the other hand is King of Platformers.

That isn't to say Banjo & Kazooie 3 won't be good, but Galaxy is a phenomenal game that even on the Wii plays like a dream. It is so innovative and has so many great ideas, plays so well and the control is so tight that it makes most other developers look bad.

That's not to say BK3 won't be better, who knows right, its not even finished yet, BUT it is going to have a real challenge to come close to Galaxy.
