No they haven't. They had worked on CoD3 in 06 and were doing work on spider-man3 from late 06 to middle of 07.

Pre-production of CoD5 didn't start until Q3 of 07 with development starting on it late 07.

So many people here like you have no belief in the natural principle of edification. COD4 was an awesome game and one of the few games I plan to continue playing until I die, but just because the developers of COD3 Treyarch didn't develop that as well as Infinity Ward did for COD4, that doesn't mean that Treyarch can't adapt to changing software-quality conditions related to those games.

I think I'm probably the only one here who anxiously anticipates COD5.

Maybe its because they are making it for the ps2 and wii? We all know how multi plat games that are on all consoles turn out (unless they use different graphics engines)

like it or not people cod3 was a whole lot of fun online even better then 2 , most of the people here hating on it are the same people that take game score too seriously and have never played the game . Personally in pretty sure there not gonna flush this franchise down the drain like most people are saying and come release day everyone is gonna buy . Just remember kids all it takes to make a good game is a ton of money and not a brand name like infinity ward.

Pumping out a Cod everyyear isn't nessasily a bad idea.

What activision really do is start a new franchise, with Treyarch taking a new name for thier WW2 shooters. Something noble.

Also this game will suck monkey balls due to being a multi-platform game..... Wii and the PS2 will drag down the resources which should be going to the ps3/360.

Sorta of topic, this is why the Force Unleashed won't be GREAT. Pity.

Just to let you know Killzone 2 doesnt come out til early '09 so that wont affect COD5 sales but Resistance 2 and Gears 2 will.
