Halo 3 Movie's Warthog Photos

NZGamer writes:

"A real-life fully scale Warthog from the famous Halo series of video games.

Back when the Halo movie seemed to have the green-light, Peter Jackson, Weta and Neill Blomkamp begun pre-production work on the film here in New Zealand.

The product of this can be seen in the numerous Halo live-action shorts, and of course in the beast you're about to behold below..."

You don't know what you're talking about. You don't even know about the Halo movie or like Halo.

So because I don't like Halo means it's impossible for me to know about it? Lol, retard. It's built as a concept pitch, it's not being used for the movie or anything, it's not even a prop. Next time when you decide to bend over, try not to get your head stuck up your ass.

(This isn't saying that the possibility of it BEING used for the movie, but as it is right now it's not.)

We still dont know what the Peter Jackson project is. Perhaps its an original series.

There are at least two other productions underway, one from the winner of the NYCTV Festival and the other from James Gunn (Dawn of the Dead, Slither).

Maybe they're using the Warthog in the production of a Xbox LIVE Series?

James Gunn is a writer not a producer or director

6 - Screw a halo movie
Hollywood studios are too smart to green light a 100mil+ movie with a generic as hell plot like Halo. The story of Halo was taken straight out of a bad paperback novel from a bargain bin at a used bookstore. Personally, I think Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro talents deserve more challenging projects.

I would much rather see Del Toro direct The Hobbit than see him waste his time making a bloated summer action movie, bankrupt of interesting characters.

I for one think there are about 100 games out there that would make more interesting movies - Half Life, Zelda, Castlevania, Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, etc.

6.1 - Have you ever
Played the games, I assume not. I also can't imagine you've read the books either. Do you honestly think the game is just "omg aliens lol kill kill kill!1!!". It isn't, you'd know this if you have at least played the first one.

the combined 10 hours story line across 3 entries tells me it's "omg omg aliens kill kill!"

It's not a unique story line, in fact much like Warhawk I think Halo could have done without the crappy story.

-----

How is Tony's argument crappy, or stupid?

Are you guys that blind to see Halo's story is garbage? Zelda, yes even Zelda would make a better movie. Halo would tantalize the gay little boys who are to exuberant and love the bright colors, namely pink.

@ Tony ---

Generic? Generic doesn't even cut it, it's a mix mash of everything out there and doesn't even spin it to make it generic, it's like Bungie all agreed "Who cares, let's just shoot stuff thats ugly, lets throw in some oppression and we have a game".

Thank you Dom, its nice to see someone on these boards w/ some taste. Halo is just the Hack 'n Slach of FPS. In no way does it deserve to be made into a feature length film.

I've played through every Halo games campaign mode, and yes I know what I'm talking about. You guys do know that the original Halo was taken from a book - the book didn't come out after the game. There is a reason you never heard of the book b4 the game came out though, it sucked! They were just to lazy to come up w/ their own story so the bought the rights to the book at bargain basement prices.

And ICEWAKE, I love your rebuttle to my arguments - "like, omg, you think Halo is just kill kill kill!? Its totally not, it more like...um ya see Halo is kinda...what you have to understand is that uhhh...well its like when you shoot at something...no no no...its actually really deep." Well sir, you pose a hell of an arguement. As Colbert would say, enough with your truthiness!!!!

7 - And Zelda would make an excellent movie
The production design alone would be awesome(ever seen Ridley Scott's movie Legend?). It would definetly be a PG feature along the lines of lotr or the Hobbit but the Zelda universe has plenty of interesting characters and material that is ripe for a big screen adaption. Most importantly, it is original.

Which is more than you can say about the Generic space shooter that is Halo. I mean the aliens design are so cheesy. And on top of that you have the Flood, which are just a rip off of the enemies from Half Life. Seriously though, Valve should be able to file some kind of copy right infringement lawsuit. When those crab looking aliens jump on the corpses heads and turn them into flood - that was straight out of HL. What a blatant rip off.

-Or because the book only released 2 weeks before the game.
