1.1 - I have actually decided to try BlockBuster, if you can believe that....

They have a sign out front that says you can pre-order it here, which was a huge shock to me but since is right down the block from my house, I thought what the hell.

I'll give it a shot... gives me a chance to get my hands on the game nice and quick.

Also I've been going crazy making background pictures for my PS3 because I have not better to do at this point... LoL

Seriously no camping out for me. Might not even be day one. If i have nothing to do then i'll pick up my copy. No matter what gamstop wants you to think, the game won't sell out they will have plenty stock

I **might** rent it from Gamefly. But that is a maybe. It has been the same game over and over since GTA3 (which was amazing during its time) that I really don't care about the GTA series anymore.

But if I read reviews and there seems to be a lot of new gameplay/challenges that brings some fresh air to the series other than an upgraded graphics engine then I will pick it up.

All you have to do is call and complain and you have it in three days time. Especially if you say the only reason you have gamefly is because of new titles, otherwise you might as well wait at blockbuster for it like everyone else.

You will be surprised how fast you get a copy.

First, I am going to buy myself a nice piece.

Next I am going to stick up an old lady.

From there I will jack myself a nice ride, a red one, and make my way across town.

I will then pummel the first mark I see. I'll take his wallet, shoes and wrist watch and hop back into the car.

After all this I am going to my local Gamestop demanding a copy of GTA! At gun point of course.

And finally I will make my way home, pop into my 360 and have some fun!

PS: If by any chance that Jack Thompson is to read this post. I am just joshing around!

i made a countdown in VB in my class, so everytime i turn on my PC, it comes up saying how many days, hours, mins, seconds we have left, then i have been playin VC and SA..then on my PSP i have custom XMB GTA theme...also i have almost every GTA poster from gamestop/eb games...then i play will wait and play MGO beta...and after all of that...i will pick up my guide a t 11:59:99 April 28th...and get back home just in time for bed..and sleep fro like 20mins, then play the game and skip school..and if that doesnt work...then i will just wait...

Tbh I don't really care. GTA has been the same thing over and over and even though that may change with GTA IV it's still not gonna make me rush out and pick it up. I'm more excited for Persona 3 Fes and will be playing that while everyone is running around saying ZOMG GTA IV WOOO.

I don't know, the games is only 30 hours long, do i feel like doing the side missions, maybe. And today i downloaded the trailer 4 for GTA4, and the graphics look like ps2, maybe cause i'm such a PC gamer that i may have a hard time connecting with console game graphics, but tom clancy series and CD4 looked great. I'm going to pray to a God I don't believe in for launch day to come tomorrow so all of the "OMG! This game is the roxxorz" comments about to GTA will come to an end. I just can't see how a game with no evolution gets such hype. It's not a racer or sports game, there is room for innovation. How far can the, "Yo, man, go here and kill _____" storyline take you. Same old story, same old gameplay, nothing new. You can play GTAIV right now, just pop in GTAIII--it's not like it will be any different.

Probably going to piss some people off saying this but I must be the only person on the planet who thinks that GTA is an overhyped overly pointless gaming experience... Sure I love the freeroaming and all but I just can't empathize with any of the main characters...

So my method of preparing for GTA's release is to studiously try to avoid seeing advertising and hype about it.
I just will not be buying this game and I will play the many other excellent and to me more fulfilling games.

April 29th 2008. I have that day off work. So I'm just gonna sleep well the night before, wake up not too early and not too late. I'll have breakfast, then have a shower and get clothed. Then I'm gonna take the subway train and head into the West End (London) and pick up my pre-order copy of GTA 4 from my nearest GAME reatiler. Then I'm my way home to play it!

I'm owning Xzombies here on n4g by letting them now that they will be getting the INFERIOR version of GTA IV and they STILL have to pay for the crappy,unnecessary,GTA IV DLC while we PS3 owners move on to playing other better games like Haze and MGS4/MGO,you zombies will be playing the sh*t out of Tears Of Bore 2 and the INFERIOR version of GTA IV because that's all you have this year and ever...oops almost forgot Banjo...LMFAO!XD

simple realy im not geting it y i dont want it i will evencaly get it but not until like 2 months l8er like a week after it comes out theres MGS4 and dualshock 3 which i have to save up for then haze is out a week l8er and i have to buy that so u know thats at least £50 a game so thats £100 then £38 a controler so that wil be £138 so gta can wait

BACK ON GTA IV TOPIC: i have yet to pre-order this game yet! i thought i would be able to wait and choose what store was giving the most incentive to pre-order there (like free ms points like some stores are doing in the UK) but was surprisingly unpleased at the little offers

If by repetitive do you mean missions like, "Hey, man, I need you to take me to Joey's house", and, "Hey, man, the whores all got loose, I need you to pick 'em up for me", or "Hey, man, Joe's behavior ain't been too good lately, let's teach him a lesson". You mean doing these exact same style missions since GTAIII gets repetitive? Hearing the same storyline over and over isn't repetitive at all, is it? It's obvious you couldn't possibly mean a game that keeps its chocolaty innards whilst only switching the color of the candy shell. Only this isn't a bag of M&Ms; even fat people tire of this one.

your metaphor made no sense to me, even after reading it three times..anyways on other fourms, people say its the same thing since GTA3 but i try and tell them the new features, and online play, but they still will not listen..but after reading about every article on GTA4 i think i know what i am talking about, especially IGN articles (ps3 and 360)
