What PC Games We'll See in 2008

Sorry to bring consoles into the mix, but this is the one game (not yet released) I would like to see on PS3.

I think it's clever. And Max Payne developers. It doesn't look very pretty anymore though. And I doubt it's for this year.

I just don't like PC gaming, since you have to upgrade the computer hardware a lot, it realy hurts the wallet

a few years back before getting my first gaming console (PS2), i was adamant at how much better PC gaming is- better,"state of the art" hardware, more flexible upgrading option and obviously all these results in higher resolution and better graphics, better frame rate etc. nowadays, i don't have any games on my macbook pro, i've finally ditched the widows platform and PS3 is my console of choice. with the ability to play Blue Ray disc, store music, online game, websurfing ( it stilldoesn't replace firefox ), my macbook is mainly for work and internet.

Great except nearly all of them are coming out on consoles and i won't have to spend a shed load upgrading my pc to play them. Pc gaming has been on the decline for years. Warcrafts about the only thing keeping it going. Look at the top 20 for the entire year, wheres the pc games???

@ above, pc gaming on the decline? yea maybe in US retail which are abysmal by the way compared to everywhere else, and where's the games? are u kidding? the pc market grew almost 40% last year alone contrary to NPD reports, there's way more games than that coming out for pc,

ps3 may be the star of the year but the pc lineup is even brighter and stronger than ever, what? no devil may cry 4? starcraft 2? far cry 2? battefield:heroes? wrath of the lich king? age of conan hyborian adventures? warhammer online:age of reckoning? dawn of war 2? the agency? Left 4 Dead included? this is a half-assed list

And for the other titles that either come in 2008 or early 2009:
and then there's the rumored GTA 4 in November(which is just like all the other past GTAs.Note:San Andreas on PC outsold xbox with over 2 mill copies), Huxley, Mafia 2, Heavy Rain, Blood Brawl, Interstellar Marines, RAGE, Fracture, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising, The New ArmAA, The new Counterstrike, Bioware's Dragon Age, Legendary:The Box, They, Bionic Commando, Elveon, Overclocked, Zeno Clash, Space Siege, New Sam and Max Seasons, Project Offset, The Crossing(First Crossplayer fps), Demigod, WorldShift, DragonBall Online, Field Ops, Guitar Rising, Ground Branch, Global Agenda(MMOFPS), Chrome, Lonewolf:Flight from the Dark, Mercenaries 2, Rogue Warrior, Necrovision, Alpha Protocol, Deus Ex 3, Duke Nukem Forever, Champions Online and I could go on and on.

And this list doesn't even include the games that look crappy and could turn out to be good, these are all anticipated titles with potential, i don't think there's any better time to be pc gamer or a gamer in general for that matter

GTA is a console game ported to PC what do you expect? Games like Crysis and FarCry 2 are PC games. They will outsell and outlast their console versions. PC market is the luxury market only bad thing about the PC market is that everyone has to pay for their own clan servers(Around $40-100 a month) and on PS3 and Xbox Live you get free servers to join. Hopefully in the next 10 years that ends though when people pick up 50-150 Mb connections. They could then host their own servers with no problems.

Umm yeah, of course gta sold 2mill on pc, but it sold 10 times that on consoles. Thats because the key word there is " consoles " there buddy. The point that was made was in regards to one system, the X-box. Not a whole fleet of systems. Im going to buy the ps3 myself next month. Only for a few different games ( fighting mostly ), and the blue ray. But in no way does it eclipse my pc. Im about 10years now into building pc's, and gaming on them as well. And in no way does any system out there compare. Just because you can't afford to play in the elite ranks of PC gaming, doesn't mean that pc gaming is dead. This argument is silly. And usually started by those who use there pc for myspace, not for Crysis. My video card cost about the same as a ps3, im not blown away by there little " next gen " graphic ability. In comparison, all three next gen systems do something that the pc can never do. They defy the laws of physics by sucking and blowing at the same time. Come to the pc realm if you want ingenuity, new ideas, perfected net play, true mod communities, ect.... Stay on the consol if you want port after port of games that started on the pc, sequel after sequel of mediocre titles, party games like smash bros, crappy system launches, red rings of death, arguments with the company about your warranty ( lol ), no fixes for games with glitches, burning the eye out on ur system cause you game and watch movies, the worst third party pre apparel ever, pricey games that cost $69 and up, ect...

Nuff said.

I have a pc for playing games as well thank you, but the fact is its no longer the main concern of game developers. They go where the money is and thats on consoles not pcs. When Farcry2 comes out on consoles which it is it will easily outsell the pc version.
Pc gaming is to expensive and to fiddly for the average consumer. Yeah pc's are always more powerful, but at a price.
The market isnt dying, its dead. Did crysis perform well compared to console releases. I think not.
