LOL at those scores too. Folklore got a 8 and a 5.5. They are all over the place with those scores.

Ratchet did well, as well as Halo. Seems the Halo score is a bit late.

But I agree, Halo is not perfect - therefore it shouldn't get any 10s. That's just common sense!

I would vote Orange Box should have gotten that kind of score only. It has five (I think, maybe more) AA to AAA games for a cheap launch price. Only thing better is if they included everything single game in the HL franchise in, but who knows, that may be in the Yellow or Red Box.

I wouldn’t give the orange box 10s but that is simply because I paid for hl2 and hl2 episode 1 and I have played them both to death so it isn’t much of a deal for me (and ep1 kinda sucked). TF isn’t my bag of chips and I feel that halo 3 and what I have played of the UT3 demo provide a much better online experience. I would basically be paying 60 bucks for ep 2 and portal which is a horrible deal.

I also think that halo is deserving of the score it recieved. Then again i am really good at halo so i do have a bit of a bias.

Ratchet and clank deserves lower marks as it the same game as all the other rachet games with new graphics.halo 3 is better than anything ps3 will have untill early 2009

Mesh, you havent played R&C and your argument is dumb. I love Halo 3, but just as you say R&C is the same as before, well so is Halo 3.

Also, 2008 has games like MGS4, FF13, Killzone 2, Socom (the one game I am waiting for, and best online multiplayer of any game)

Oh really... That's cool. It's almost like they rate games in terms of what they think the gamer populous will think*. These people are dumb. By the way, if you like hard tacos, hit agree. If you like soft tacos, hit disagree. If you like both, and I can't decide which side the populous is gonna take... Both types of tacos are straight 7's... no 8's... no 7.5, 10, 5.0, for tacos in general.

Agreed. They must have meetings for this. 'Well we know Halo is popular so that'll get 10's, Conan we know is just a hack and slash so probably mid levels, R&C we know people want this so it'll get a high score, and Jericho is just a fps....'

Blech this is why I just buy the game if I'm kind of intrested in them and I never go by reviews.

i played the demo to jericho honestly it should be an 8 IDK maybe they're tired of fps(like me) but that don't explain orange box and folklore thats just plain stupid these critics is almost as bad as movie critics

Jericho should be about average, Bladestorm a little higher, Folkore much higher (not AAA but pretty high), Halo 3 should be all 9.5, Ace combat should get high for grafic but the rest of the game sucks, Can´t say so much on Orange box (havent played it, but it seems a little high with 2 tens)

Just seems like they rushed a little, but i don´t read Egm so i don´t know how they usally score.

The Simpsons game is better than Halo 3. I don't mean that as an insult to Halo, I mean that the Simpsons demo was great fun, I don't know what could have gotten wrong. However, it's EGM/1up so i'll take this with a grain of salt...

Gameinformer all the way. Halo 3 would never get a score below 9.0 as fanboys would burn the EGM offices in revolt. Halo 3 is not perfect. 10 for a next gen game running at 640p would automatically get a .5 to 1.0 deduction.

Keep your fanboy reviews to yourself, you're making matters even worse. Reviews should be based on unbiased, non-fanboy assesments, and knowledge of it's genre. Idontcare, I've read too many of your posts and you have never once said anything positive about anything except PS3 related stuff. You're giving reviewers crap for the same thing you're doing.

wow some scores are scary. jericho shame of the month ? what are they smoking, the gameplay is awesome, and the graphics destroy halo 3, which by the way gets tooooo high ratings. folklore rating is also bullshit. and the orange box is also rated to high. the main part is half life 2, this game is good, but its too old.

Or just go to a game website and look at the vids of pictures of the game.. This game looks like a pixar movie.. I think one of the best looking games out so far on next gen consoles.. Ha! Looks like Jericho bombed...10s for Halo not a big surprise, as everyone has been brainwashed over this rubbish as of late. Orange Box deserved it's score...great value. Nice to see PS3 stepping up with Ratchet...it looks amazing in person, better than anything on 360 by far (save for maybe mass effect, but we'll see when that comes out). Surprised by eye of judgement score. Folklore is a niche game...I enjoyed it, but not everyone will. I think PS3 is a sleeping giant. 2008 will be very interesting.

i really can't see how Halo got 10s. i got a buddy that is very pro 360, loves Halo but was very disappointed in Halo 3.

he told me why but i had no idea what he was talking about cause i never played the other Halo games much (he was mainly comparing it to the other Halo's that he obviously loves).

i know you guys will disagree, but i really think people just got caught up in the hype.

I played the RC demo and loved it. I have never played an RC game before so I can not comment as to if it is just more of the same. I can’t say what I would give the game without playing the entire game but based off of what I have played I would give it a 9. The graphics are smooth like silk and it just feels right. Tons of highly rated games have gotten oddball scores like the ones that gamespot hand out and that is why we have metacritic. RC is 100% AAA so who cares if one guy didn’t like it. Different strokes for different folks.

I love halo 3 and think the game is amazing so I don’t see the problems with it getting a 10s. I am a rational adult so I don’t buy into the childish conspiracy theories about bought reviews; if MS could buy them so could other companies and all games would get 10s. Halo puts a smile on my face just like OOT did so many years ago and OOT is a nearly perfect game. Does halo have flaws? Yeah it has a few but at the end of the day I have not had this much fun playing a game in years. It gets that 10 because it is so fun that nothing else matters. 4 player co-op with skulls on is extremely fun and in my opinion the game has the best score and sound in a game period. People please give halo a break, obviously lots of us do think it is the 2nd coming so just leave us be we are entitled to our opinions.
