Both SR2 and RFG are great games. Can't wait to see what the sequels adds.

mjolliffe5178d ago

Hoping Red Faction will go back to being an FPS. And I want to see a GTA competitor in Saints Row: something focusing more on the story + fun, not just fun.

SpaceSquirrel5178d ago

A return to the first-person perspective would be awesome for Red Fraction.

PrimordialSoupBase5178d ago

In first-person, you really can't appreciate the destruction. What I'd like to see, however, is the open world aspect taken a away and it go back to being linear and focussed.

Blaze9295178d ago

I dissagree. When they start trying to compete with GTA then thats when it becomes less fun. That was GTAIV did, try to focus on the story and look how fun that turned out.

Saints Row 2, in my opinion, is way better than GTAIV becuase how fun it was. Not only that, but I could literally play like 100% of the game through online co-op with my friend. THAT was a blast. On top of that, the script for the story was just hilarious.

Check out this video lol, it had me and my friend DYING laughing!:

So I can't wait for Saints Row 3. Keep online co-op in with the crazy fun action that is Saints Row and I'll buy day 1.

yeh i liked sr2 a lot it was what gta4 shoulda been imo

red faction was ok but no great a 1st person open world would b cool esp if we could tunnel like in the last one XD

Alright before you disagree think about it, GTA4 was the most funnest realistic game we have ever played perhaps in Video Game history, but they killed it because we were not able to do most things like in GTA: SA, we couldn't gain muscle, we didn't have as much clothing options, we didn't airplanes, jets, mythologies. If anything Grand Theft Auto San Andreas or Vice City is the best GTA.

Saints row 2, it added everything we wanted, airplanes, ragdoll, cars, character customization, tons of clothing options, fun side missions, decent single player, that is why I enjoyed Saints row 2 more, it had more replay value. What game allows you to make a character that looks like Ronald McDonald, other than Saints row 2?

I am really looking forward to see what Saints row 3 offers, and hopefully they don't sell out like Rockstar and Infinity Ward.

wooooh, saints row rules sandbox gaming now

PLAYSTATIONGENRATION5178d ago

Is one of the most over look game this gen...which it was a good game....if not great...story and all

reintype5178d ago

Truth be told, I enjoyed Saint's Row 2 better than GTA4.

SR2 might be stupid but at least it's fun. GTA4 was just tedious.

lh_swe5178d ago

Same here, SR 2 was the open world game GTA IV should have been, I pray for the day when the two merge tough, GTA's graphics and polish with SR humour and style, customization and just over the top craziness.

chrisnick5178d ago

I don't know how people think sr2 was a better game than gta. Better silly stuff like side missions, customizations and whatnot sure. But nothing changed in sr2. Same city, same concept, same easy to ignore story and forgettable characters. Maybe its me, but the reviews must mean something.

PLAYSTATIONGENRATION5178d ago (Edited 5178d ago )

Story wise not so much but the story was no slouch either...If you have not played saints Row 2 you should....

How could you forget GAT....

Rocket Sauce5178d ago (Edited 5178d ago )

I couldn't care less about the story in a game like Saints Row (or GTA, really.) Just let me do naked handstands on moving vehicles and it's all good.

lh_swe5178d ago

The fun factor in in Saints Row 2 made it soo much more fun to play which is the reason I play games, sometimes an engaging story that is played out with a more serious outlook can catch my eye but for the sake of atmosphere some things cannot be dragged out as much as they were in GTA IV, I mean aweful side missions, the stupid friend/gf system, the lack of freedom as was presented in previous games, I know this was done for the atmosphere but again it's a sacrifice that made this a less fun experience. One other thing, Saints Row 2 made me laugh soo hard not only at the story but the times had with a friend where we'd just be messing around with all of what the world had to offer. Ohh and one more thing, it was rewarding, when I do a side mission I don't just wan't money that is useless (which it was in GTA, I mean you couldn't do anything with it) I want something else and Saints Row rewarded you for completing X amount of said side mission.

ProjectVulcan5178d ago

Saints row 2 and GTA4- two stunningly poorly optimised Pc ports. Saints row 2 in particular was mind blowingly awful on PC. I would like to see a third, and i would like to see a Pc version that hasnt been coded by a thousand chimps at a thousand keyboards

lh_swe5177d ago

One reason to buy a console. But you can't say the bugs ruined the games beyond play-ability?

Slightly disappointing game but Wo Long had a good creator. I was impressed by Oblivion back in what 05, 06? But the worst i have ever seen, clearly, Valheim.

ModsDoBetter362d ago

What was up with Wo Long?

Not looked at any reviews and did download it on my Xbox before I sold the console but never got around to playing it. Saw it drop in price on PS5 and was thinking of picking it up.

RE: Character creation

Oblivion hold a special place for me, when it came out on PS3, it was the first game of its kind that I had played and the character creator took was amazing.

I do like Monster Hunter: World & FFXIV, personally.
Cyberpunk did good in that department, despite its numerous flaws.

IamTylerDurden1362d ago

I played Oblivion day 1 on 360 and was impressed with the creator. Damn near 20 yrs ago, it was impressive at the time. Special game, unfortunately 90% of current gamers on social media have not a clue about the older stuff. Elder Scrolls is just Skyrim to many. They know not of Gothic and the old guard that paved the way. Flimsy ass rhetoric and recycled opinions about the same bs is what garners attention. Meme culture. Insight and intellect hold no place on the current day internet. Fuck likes, follows, BS. I say what i believe is relevant, what i'm interested in, and following means fuck all bc i don't respect 99% of the ppl online anyway.

For the "TLDR" bs. I'ma not space it out on purpose. Fuck you very much folks.

isarai362d ago (Edited 362d ago )

Honestly the one I remember being easiest and flexible enough to make any character I imagined was the PS2 WWE games, and Saints Row 2. I did really enjoy Dragons dogmas character creation too

IamTylerDurden1362d ago (Edited 362d ago )

I was gonna mention Black Desert but the game is horrible so...

Creator was the best part.

Lol CP 2077 is one of the easiest and less detailed editors around. It's all a mish-mash of presets.

Honorable mention to Drive Clubs Ferrari Fxx-K. Should be there over Horizon.

The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series

Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground

Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3

And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2

Gardenia466d ago

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

dumahim466d ago

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

toxic-inferno466d ago

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.
