Pretty good score for Uncharted 2.

I wonder if Famitsu plans on reviewing the Wii version of Okami. It's supposed to come out next week in Japan.

SnuggleBandit5316d ago

ya from famitsu thats not a bad score at all for uncharted

Sarcasm5316d ago

37/40 = Good score

Although I'm still questioning their Haze score.

darkmurder5316d ago

Omg this is BS everybody knwos that MS owns Famitsu, why Uncharted didn't get 40/40 is just beyond me, seriously I am going to write a letter of complaint and call the hotline and whilst I'm there I am going to kill me some reviewers because that is just BS I MEAN WTF PPLZZZ!!!1!!!!one

Syronicus5316d ago

Not that I do not like this score but despite their formidable score here, I still question their review skills. Giving Haze a 38 and this a 37 seems a bit odd to me.

Fire44445316d ago

They gave Haze 34/40... http://www.1up.com/do/newsS...

...which is still pretty high for such a piss-poor game.

They gave 38/40 to Gears of War 2 and Last Remnant, but I'm still expecting Uncharted 2 to be better than both of those games.

Face Palm5316d ago (Edited 5316d ago )

34 to HAZE WTF?! That game deserved a 3.4! At the time HAZE came out, I was a hardcore PS3 fanboy (now I'm neutral) and even I thought it was terrible!

Uncharted 2's 37 is good for a very western game.

Christopher5316d ago

This is a pure Western game and to get a 37/40 by Famitsu speaks to how well the gameplay and storyline transcends typical ethnic boundaries because it's just that good.

vhero5316d ago

What you talking about Haze was GOTY material you all suck :p blah blah. Nah Haze was pretty bad but its story was around the same level as HALO and thats why it got rated so high most likely. You can all disagree as much as you like HALO is a load of tosh you get sweeped up in this fanboyism crap too much. The multiplayer is better than most shooters I admit but its defo only a console seller as the fans chose it to be out of spite and hate for Sony not out of love for the game. Just the same reason a lot of people use mac and linux (not all but a lot of users). Go and deny it till your blue in the face but HALO is only slightly better than HAZE and if it came out for the first time on PS3 as an unknown game it would have got similar scores as HAZE everywhere.

Honky Kong5316d ago

near perfect for a game that isnt original at all.

RedSoakedSponge5315d ago

does it really bother you that much? bahaha! get a life.

Pika-pie5315d ago

37/40 = 92.5%

Well done ND, you have impressed the Japanese with your lovliness :)

theEnemy5315d ago

37/40 is great.

but 40/40 is epic.

*cough*MGS4*cough*

;)

darkmurder5315d ago

@Redsoakedsponge, obviously you didn't get my sarcasm, I'd have though the 11!!!!11one would have given it away.

But this is a pretty kickass score from Famitsu considering it isnt a RPG or Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest. Though Famitsu hasnt been the same in recent memory with their scoring system.

Overall, pretty great score.

I don't even think we need anymore reviews. We all know this is a great game.

aaron58295316d ago

The "Fanboys will go only one 10?" comment... ?

justpassinggas5316d ago

ONLY ONE 10???

Sorry, couldn't resist.

MattOG7115316d ago

But it's true though lol. I think this game is amazing, the demo is amazing, and what I played at E3 was amazing. For me, personally this game will probably be a Top 3 game this gen.

Still, when people get upset over the fact that the game gets below a 9.5 and get upset is kinda ridiculous. If this game isnt getting perfect 10's I see people get pissed. While, I think the game is deserving of a 9.5+, I wont get pissed if someone gives it a 9.0.

Hell, Adam Sessler saying what he said should be enough for most. His thoughts were all I needed to solidify my predictions of the game from what I've played

@aaron

Have you read an Uncharted 2 review articles comment section on this site? Yes, it was necessary.

MattOG7115315d ago

Just goes to show you that even when praising the greatness of Uncharted 2 and condemning fanboys for their obsessive behavior can be considered the wrong thing to say.

Look at all those 6s for NBA 2K10..I think there is something wrong there

aaron58295316d ago

Those games will sell... some people never get tired of these kind of games.

Marceles5316d ago

"I think there is something wrong there"

Yeah...it's not a soccer game, they'd give it a 10 then

StrboyM5316d ago

is a good game, no matter where its released...as long as the translations are intact

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
