I didn't hear of that rumour, but if it's true, than I am so excited. I am hoping for Gohan to be the main character. The GT crap was weak and worse than the Buu Saga. There was a movie released last year in Japan, but I forgot the name of it. I still want to see it.

Will be both, however it will be a firesale of old models.

New SKU is coming (obviously), suppose to be a bare bones PS3. 40 gigs with no wi-fi and no games.

Certain Dealers are going to give the new SKU model with 50$ PSN cards to offer the incentive of buying the " new"PS3 at their out let. Target is doing this currently. Walmart/bestbuy *might* follow.

Personally, I hope they cut the prices on the controllers sometime in the future and do a firesale on 6axis controllers.

If anything it might just be that they are adding PS2 backward compatibility via a software update to allow 40gb and 80gb consoles play PS2 games. It is a feature alot of people might have forgotten, but I personally think sony has been working on this in secret.

Guys, they won't announce a game, E3 and to a lesser extent GDC are the best places for that.

It won't be a PS3 price cut as there would be leaked info from retailers about the move and there has been none.

What there has been talk of is the PS2 price cut to $99, backed up by flyers in Netherlands and Germany announcing "new low price" - see GAF

There is also talk of FW 2.70 for PS3 which will hopefully be a massive update and possibly include anything from cross game chat + invite + PS2 emulation....
