The Ten Commandments of Videogame Design

Videogames have been around for a pretty long time now, longer than many of us have been alive. And yet, even in the decades of experience developing games, companies will frequently put out games with the same repeated flaws of yesteryear. Cheap boss battles, poor cameras, horrible control and broken gameplay mechanics still rear their ugly head time and time again.

So it is in that vein that I present to you the 10 Commandments of Videogame Design. These are ten basic ideas that, when followed, dramatically increases the quality of the games published. So let us begin:

1. Thou shalt not have unskippable cutscenes.
