Since Capital G has been trolling EVERY PS3/KZ2 article EVERY SINGLE DAY and every single one of his comments has been reported/deleted as spam, but he STILL has NOT been banned(maybe now he has), tells us something about the N4G mods.

I got restricted to the Open Zone for a week after my post where I said "Man, these fanboys need to STFU". But Capital G gets to troll and spam for months even though every single one of his post gets deleted.

Well Capital G has 1 bubble now but I'm sure he (PP) is already trolling with another account. We only have to deal with it for a month more til KZ2 comes out. He will be saying "9.8 metascore + 5 million units sold= FLOP!" but there will be no one around to notice since we'll b playing KZ2.

gears 2 has already divided the opinion of a lot of xbox gamers as there are those that don't like it an those who think its the best game on the system.

Quite positive review, but seems that theres a bit of this biting the hype or bossibly the Pros overshadow the cons as he did only mention few like short single player and knife.

Hes right about the multiplayer tough, its real fun. Beta had few minor issues but nothing that couldnt be fixed before the relase.

The pros overweight the cons. Only a fanboy website like Gamesradar would nitpick small things like knife and lower down the overall score. Just to let people know that think they're M$ haters, they gave:

Killzone 2 - 9.9
Halo 3 - 9.8
Gears of War 2 - 9.7
Resistance 2 - 9

They've been more harsh on PS3 games to be more honest.

Nice review. It's adequately descriptive and not too enthusiastic for stomaching. Good vocabulary that is acceptably scholarly and written in an engrossing style. A couple typos here and there (easily fixable), but it's still definitely a good article. And I'm glad to see a PC gamer pleased with it (since I am a PC fps gamer as well).

At this point I'm really not interested in 10's and perefect scores from the H8'N ass gaming press, or comparisons to other games like GeOW2. PS3 is my favorite console hands down but I love Gears.

I guess what I'm tryin to say is I want KZ2 to stand alone and be judged on its own merrit. Not KZ2 VS. GeoW2 or KZ2 VS. Halo3. Guerilla obviously crafted this game with care and thus, thats exactly how I want to receive it because one thing IS CLEAR, when I look at this game I dont see KZ2 VS. Any other game. I see GG VS. THE PS3's tech and MAN did they land some SERIOUS BLOWS! they have given us a deeper look at whats under the PS3's casing and have put the 3rd place selling console in the 1st place spot in terms of Tech and GFX. I am VERY excited to though, as I just got my demo card yesterday. I DO agree that saying GeOW2 is like a HS project is VERY inaccurate and just untrue. Yes KZ2 looks better than anything seen on a console but GeOW 1 & 2 are no slouches when compared to ANYTHING either. That franchise is in my All-Time Top 10.

I'm expecting similar reviews from all major websites. The majority of real gamers have spoken and are still speaking and they're all equally impressed. They're all listing the same positives, the majority seems to agree with the same things. So seeing a review that lists the opposite is a confirmation that they're bias. The reason he says that about GOW2 is because of these three points.

1)Graphics beat down any console game ever made.

2)Intense action all the time.

GOW Did raise the bar back then and i certainly enjoyed the SP on my PC.

Nice to hear that Sandbags are only a temporary cover. Too many games haven't used them realistically, so it's good to know you can take them out (or that enemies can take them out, making them a place you don't want to be around as a result).

I just hope that the reviews on the major sites are reasonable. The feature that GR ran about how it'll review giving out nitpickingtips was alittle out of line as I didn't see them doing it for Halo3 or Gears2 which were both hyped to similar levels. They are aware that some PS3 owners see them as having a bias towards the 360 and it's because of stuff like this which made it seem like Killzone2 isn't going to be reviewed using the usual FPS yardstick, but we'll see.
The review was okay and from this guy who, from what I can find, hasn't had any PS3 bias before so I can only assume he's being honest. I do wish the hype wasn't so out of control though as some people are expecting Godlike status for this game and although it was amazing in the beta it's still only a game at the end of the day.
I don't think the fella was dissing Gears2 though. The site gave Gears2 a really high score too and he only said what he did to get across how great KZ2 is for him. Y'know like Gears was so amazing yet this trumps it in many areas-it was just a bit of hyperbole but he woud have been better off easing the comment down a bit.

Other major gaming sites have been commenting on playing Killzone2 for a while, maybe by the time these guys got their request filled, they changed the package, LOL. Maybe this site was on the bottom of that food chain and had to wait, in doing such, they may have been lucky enough to get the latest and greatest revision of the software that just happened to be final build. It seems possible that these lucky bastards just got their hands on the game using the same final code that the "DEMOS" we will be running in a few weeks. Just my guess... but a you asked a decent question.

v high score. on average i imagine it will end up around the 9 marker judging on previews from gaming sites etc etc. imo its very rare that a game should ever get a 10 because 10 implies that its perfect e.g. i don't agree that gta4 deserved as many 10's as it got, sure its a top quality game but it still had flaws (like verything else) and if it has flaws how can it be perfect ;)

As for bringing down older games....people seem to have no problem doing it to PS3 games. Some just can't handle that Gears 2 is being put to shame. Plus, Gears 2 is not even that old. It is still fairly new.

For one when you review a Game you don't put down another game in the process.. I would have listen to this review, but when you have to put down other games the hype a game more is just poor writing... Wee all know Killzone 2 will be a good game, they have been making it for five years it better be... I think the 10 hours single player will hurt this game... (This is coming from a shooter fan, and just read to the end...) I have owned a 360 for 2+ years now and absolutely love it. Yes it did break twice but Microsoft's repair service was very quick and my broken console was replace within 3 weeks both times. To be honest I have spent a fair amount of time playing the PS3 with buddies who have it as well and I have always beleived that the 360 and its games (especially gears of war and Halo) were significantly better than PS3's shooters, not to mention the far more seamless online experience in xbox live. Even games for both consoles like the COD series I felt had much better gameplay on the 360, maybe it is because I favor the 360 controller for shooters.

Anyways, I say that to say this - I have been quite impressed with everything out so for on KZ2. If this game will have a great online multiplayer aspect to it then I think I am about sold and am considering picking up a PS3 for this game (and for the blu-ray). Do you members who have played the demo, and have played gears and Halo, feel that this game is really worth the purchase of the PS3? Will it really give me something that trumps gears and Halo? Can I get some insight into KZ2's multiplayer features and modes?

Remember, this is a strong 360 supporter who is just quite impressed with KZ2, so please don't reply with things like, "Halo and Gears suck compared to KZ2!". Lets be sensible gamers here, not fanboys, and give halo and gears the credit they deserve so that I can get an honest opinion on why KZ2 justifies a PS3 purchase.

If you are a hardcore FPS fan, then killzone 2 is a must buy but do you want to play another game on the PS3 other than killzone? If you only want to play killzone 2 then I don’t think one game is sufficient to buy a console but if you are a FPS hardcore fan then there is Resistance 2 is an awesome game as well, as far as far as comparing killzone to halo and gears well I do believe that Resistance 2 is far better than Halo, but killzone 2 I don’t know I haven’t play it yet, I do have the code so ill soon know, as far as gears well will have to wait as well but there have been nothing but positive previews and reviews so I do believe killzone 2 will be an awesome game still the decision is up to you, no matter what we say is up to you in the end wait until you play the game and then make the decision.

Yes, well if I did get it I would surely look into other games as well for the PS3 such as Resistance 2. I've only played it once and it was a pretty good game. But the Blu-Ray would also be one of the main reasons I would get the PS3. KZ2 is just sort of pushing me over the edge to make the buy. If what you guys are saying is true and KZ2 raises the bar for future PS3 games, it seems like a good purchase to make.

RFoM is still my prefered FPS because of it's solid controls, weapons, visuals and fast paced MP battles.
You'll love Warhawk for it's diversity and large levels.
Uncharted! Nuff said.
MGS4 finishes the fight with lotsa gunz in stunning fashion.
R2 is worth more than it's price tag.
And of course next month, Killzone 2.

I've been playing FPSs since their first incarnation (Wolfenstien 3D is it?) and they have been my favorite genre since i've been gaming. I know a lot about them. I personnally beleived the Resistance games were very poor compared to others. Some guy mentioned he thought they were better than Halo3. From one gamer to another, they are not even close and Halo wipes the floor. Nar2ru1 listed a few games there, but if your a hardcore FPS or shooter fan, the ones he listed wont interest you very much.

There is a game coming out in Q1 called Operation Flashpoint 2. It's first installment came out on PC and later a flawed XBOX version. At the time it was one of the greatest FPSs ever made and still is. Im sorry Sony fans, but OF2 is going to wipe the floor with Killzone. I know just saying that will probably get me banned from this site. OF2 just doesn't get much mention from the gamers on this site because most of them haven't played anything but a Playstation. Go check it out, im sure you'll be very impressed.

Taste in your games really. I have had a great time playing Killzone 2 during the beta stages. I really didn't play many fps until the last few years. I started with Gears 1 didn't much care for the Halo series so I can't say much about it. Gears and Killzone 2 are different types of shooters so there will be a big difference. The online play of Killzone 2 is very fast paced. Since the day i downloaded the beta till it was over I played for about 7 hours at a time. I was just plain hooked from the word go. The squad system is great. I was one of those people that didn't even have a mic when it started I ran out day 1 to pick up the offical playstation 3 mic.

You should never buy a systam for just one game, but i could recommend some other games that I thought were great. Message me if you have anything else you need to know (games recommended and whatnot)

that Operation Flashpoint 2 and it almost looks too good to be true. It is hyped as the most realistic shooter ever, and the graphics look so realistic it makes me question the reality of the screenshots. I hope you are right though about it.

Anyways, about KZ2, I've always been a 1-console per generation gamer, but think I might have to break down and go for two consoles this gen (360 and PS3). NES to Genesis to N64 to Gamecube to 360, and now maybe teaming up the 360 with the PS3.

Come on guys you have to admit, all the fanboyism can be entertaining and annoying, but how many sweet games are out for this generation and will come out in the next few years? I just hope PSN doesn't let me down because 99% of my gaming is online shooters.

Although I have never played a perfect 10 game (As I believe that it has not been created yet), there are several 9.5, 9.6, 9.7, 9.8, and seven 9.9's. (Half LIfe 2 (PC), Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox 1), MGS4 (Ps3), Mario 64 (N64), GTA 3 (multi), World of Warcraft (PC), and Zelda (N64).

I have played Killzone 2, and in my non-biased review of the beta, it is in this arena of games. I won't flame out and say it's a 9.9, but if compared to the games listed above...this should shut people up about the ps3 and move some serious units. In fact, Killzone 2 will be to the ps3 what Halo was to the 1st xbox. This game is killing Gears, rather fans like to hear it or not. Think about it...the Ps3 is a more powerful, carefully constructed, well thought out system. I am not surprised in the product and expect the other heavy hitters to stand tall...thus placing the crown back on the head of the Playstation band. Remember when Canibus and Kool Moe Dee tried to battle LL Cool J? Yea, they got their 15 min. of fame, but what happened in the end? It's like the Baltimore Ravens running smack to the Steelers, with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed being their versions of Halo and gears. HOWEVER, the better TEAM of players (Like the Ps3)work together to deliver a dominating ensemble. AS gamers, we should desire innovation, not repetition. Killzone 2 is the Alpha, GOW 3 is the Omega!!

Since I've had a PS3, it's functioned mostly as a Metal Gear/Blu-ray player. The idea of getting a game that really shows what the PS3 is capable of is starting to get me pretty excited.

That being said, I'm not expected the end all, be all of gaming, but instead a game that finally gives the FPS genre the shot in the arm it's been needing for the past year. After COD4, really hasn't been much to celebrate. But about it making Gears of War 2 look like a High School attempt at gaming, that sounds like an idiot doing his best to start a flame war.

If mass effect 2, assassin's creed 2 come out on top of Bioshock 2 and Killzone 2, this could very well be the Year of the Deuce.

This makes up for no Co-op in my book. In Perfect Dark64 we never played deathmatch, we would play as a team against heaps of bots. This gives so much variety if you can set up bot types, game types, levels, guns placement. Co-op would have been good, but probably has more legs to it.

Besides, who here wouldn't want to shoot a couple hundred bots?

Excellent review. I think he would have come off as a little more professional if he would have avoided simplistic comparisons with Gears of War 2, but all in all I think it was well written and it is nice to see another top score for Killzone 2.

Killzone 2 is going to raise the bar and all shooters to follow will inevitably be compared with it. I wonder how Infinity Ward are going to try to live up to the new standards with Call of Duty MW2. They are going to have to try to compete, but I wonder what they will be able to accomplish.
