Gears of War Roadie Run Retrospective: Gamer drives 6 hours for game to prove GameStop wrong

Ripten: "Would you drive 3 hours one way and then 3 hours back to play a game on the first day of its release if the place you reserved it at didn't get it on time and they told you that you had to suck it up and wait?

This launch day story involves a detailed explanation of GameStop's reservation policy fine print and a 6 hour road trip across state lines. After all the trouble, did he even like the game when he got it home? Find out..."
Updates:
This N4G post was originally titled "Gamer drives 6 hours for game to prove GameStop wrong" which would explain the Road Trip image I used to post it. The reason I went with that title, was because I found the fact that the gamer drove 6 hours to get the game the most interesting and news worthy aspect. I wasn't alone. Kotaku felt the same way, and posted the following:

http://kotaku.com/5065666/would-you-drive-six-hours-for-a-game

However, the story got hot and an N4G Mod decided it would be best to rename the post and change the description to match the article itself, ensuring that my original intent (and ultimately the news I was trying to share) would be lost in translation. This is unfortunate. Nostra-
