An updated trophy support list (work in progress)

That Gaming Site:
It seems that developers are starting to support the Trophy system more and more. This is great, it finally gives all the players a better chance to receive their first trophy if not more. So we have compiled a list of games that are and will support trophies. If we missed any or if any are wrong comment below and we will look into it.

wasnt MGS 4 and GTA 4 going to support Trophies? I remember some Magazine interviewed Rockstar and it said it would support Trophies.

poopsack5753d ago

yeah and wasnt konami pushing sony to release trophies?

fenderputty5753d ago

both. I want MGS4 trophies sooo bad too.

PR0F3TA5752d ago

"konami pushing sony to release trophies?"

dude your source on this was PlaystationLifestyle, they were the only ones who ever said this bull$h!t theory. Not to mention the bogus release date on June 10th...

Konami has never stated anything about trophys, Rockstar on the other hand has, and they have yet to deliver

fenderputty5752d ago

I could have sworn to God that Konami talked about trophy support some months before the release of MGS4.

(some months might be like more than 2 or 3 or 4 ...)

C_SoL5752d ago

let's see.....

5 people disagree with you, including me.......

So Pain has trophy Support already?

And what about MGS4? I know it already has its own kind of "Trophy's" , but i want to it to count on my account so i can level up and compare trophy's with my freinds.

Pr3-M3d_G4M3R5752d ago

I dont think they have it integrated yet, i bought pain last night because of the summer sale, but have yet to get any trophies for pain, there are trophies that you get in the game but have nothing to do with 2.41 trophies

Mr_cheese5752d ago

Trophies will come for pain around the same time as the theme park expansion

EastCoastSB5752d ago

Anyone know if Soul Calibur 4 is going to have trophies?

ash_divine5752d ago

I hope so, maybe it'll be a patch later on.

Megaton5752d ago

I don't mean to undermine this article, but for the sake of reference for curious people, there's a better list here.

http://www.thesixthaxis.com...

It had its own article here a couple weeks ago, but is actively updated.

Spydiggity5752d ago (Edited 5752d ago )

basically it's the same two games that have had it since they started this. and then SOME of the titles will eventually get it. and then SOME unreleased titles will have them.

that basically makes trophies pointless.
if all games aren't required to support then it doesn't mean anything. nice try sony.

guess i'll just stick with my 14 trophies in Super Stardust and go back to focusing on my achievement points.

@onslaught
Bitter? i think i explained that the idea of trophies (achievements) only works if every game is required to do it. otherwise, if i buy games that don't support it and you do, on paper it'll look like you're "better" than me. when in fact, you just happen to prefer games that support it.

should be mandatory, or not at all. not bitter, disappointed. i mean, if they're going to steal the idea of achievements, at least do it right.

DiabloRising5752d ago

Everything starts somewhere. You sound awfully bitter.

Very sloppily done, Sony seems to be fvcking up left and right this generation. No rumble at the begining then making you have to pay $55 plus tax for it, no bundled-in mic, no hdmi or at least component wire, half-a$$ed trophies support, letting what used to be all their 3rd party exclusives slip away, releasing the system at $600, getting rid of backwards compability and not properly upconverting them, making the disc drive to slow, forcing big-a$$ installs on us, Not making every game 1080p @ 60fps when they were the ones talking all that sh!t about how important 1080i/p resolution was, and then even fvcking up correctly upconverting all games to at least 1080i, having 95% of their multiplatform games be the inferior version, making the PS3 to difficult to program for, 2.40/41 not really delivering, for making the OS take up to much RAM, and so and so on. Im sorry Sony fanboys, anybody that knows me, knows I aint soft on MS at all, as a matter of fact i am much harder on them, but come on, Sony has messed up so much this generation its not even funny. I am glad that MS is here to force them into shape if they wanna stay in this race. Sony fanboys, realizee that MS is making PS3 a better product, for god's sake we dont even know if the RSX is really 550Mhz or 500Mhz.

With that being said, i do think that MS is sneakier, snakier and much worst than Sony, their business practices are dirty, and they are way more arrogant than Sony ever was, and talk way more and far worst sh!t than Sony. They need to be humbled!

Mugen Souls Retro Review – Sexy Demon Space Adventure

Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.

Looking Back At 2008, An Unbelievably Incredible Year Of Video Game Releases

Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."

CrimsonWing699h ago

I don’t think anything can compare to 2023

lucasnooker9h ago

1998 - the best year in gaming! Metal gear solid, crash bandicoot 3, medievil, half life, ocarina of time, thief, tenchu, resident evil 2, Spyro, tomb raider 3, oddworld abes exodus, banjo kazooie.

It was a different breed of a gaming era. You’ll never understand what it was like back then. The aura of gaming, it was different!

KyRo9h ago(Edited 9h ago)

I second this. Gaming was a lot more varied and fun than it is today. I'm 35 so getting on compared to some here but I got to see all the changes from NES up to now but I've never felt so disappointed in any generation than I have this current gen. I was expecting more from this generation rather than prettier versions of games that came before it. Game mechanics have become so refined that alot of games feel the same and has done for a while now.

Maybe it's time to have a break for a while. I love gaming but I don't feel I get much fun in the traditional sense out of it anymore.

CrimsonWing699h ago(Edited 9h ago)

Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Abe’s Exodus, and Ocarina of Time are the only things from that list that I liked.

Here’s the 2023 game releases that I personally liked… and big releases that I didn’t care for:

- Dead Space Remake
- Wo Long Dynatsy
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Diablo 4
- Fire Emblem Engage
- Hogwarts Legcay
- Street Fighter 6
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Like a Dragon: Ishin
- Octopath Traveler 2
- Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters
- Final Fanatsy XVI (actually ended up not liking this, but it was still a big deal release)
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Lies of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Starfield (Ended up hating this one, but big release)
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (I’m an old-school Zelda fan, but didn’t really enjoy this game)
- Alan Wake 2

I mean, honestly I’ve never seen a year of major IP releases like that, ever.

Profchaos6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Isn't it just a generational thing realistically.

I've been gaming since way back and I some of my favourite games go as far back as the late 80s for me each generation has a year or two of game changing releases one after another before an inevitable dry spell.

I kind of agree gaming had a different feel games hit different because we didn't have the internet nothing got spoiled and you really had to put in the effort to beat a puzzle which could set entire groups of people looking for a solution. But most importantly games were experimental and not as cookie cutter as today even basics like controls were not universal today r2 is shoot l2 is ads garunteed you can't deviate from that in a shooter back then it could of been square, R1 or R1 and circle nothing was standard.

But as time moves on a new generation picks up their controller they are going to be interested in different things that PS1 demo disc with the t Rex blew our primitive 16 bit brains back on launch but to kids today it's laughable.
The new gen of kids coming into to hobby seem to value different things to us there seems to be a huge focus on online play, streamers, gaming personalities, and social experiences, convience of digital downloads. To me I value none of that but that's ok like my parents not liking the band's I would listen to its just the natural cycle.
