Metal Gear Memorial: Remembering the many years of the Snake

A memorial to the Metal Gear franchise is now live on Gamertell, looking back at pretty much all the games starring Solid Snake.

It begins with Konami's first Metal Gear game released for the Sony MSX2 home computer system in 1987 and chronologically progresses up to the upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PS3.

It's a nice historical retrospective with quick summaries for each game including mentions of crossover material and even a few controversies.
