1.1 - Worth a rent, at least.
I was one of those who razzled on RE5 when it first came out for being a giant step back from what the franchise had become with Mikami. Then one day my brother surprised me with a copy and I reluctantly played it. While it isn't the best in the series I had a hell of a lot of fun playing it (over 120 hours and counting). The co-op is a treat, as long as you're playing with a human and not the mentally handicapped A.I. Plenty of treasures to find, bonuses to unlock and Mercenaries is addictive. I'm considering getting the motion version if the price is right. If you get it for the PS3, send me a PM and I'll arrange a time to play co-op with you.

i'll be getting it again unless they realse the alternate part as dlc either way im gonna get it soley for that extra story n stuff etc but this be first time well no techically second time i rebought a game
sold resident evil 4 gamecube and got re 4 for wii cuz of the extra content that was in ps2 plus more

Although I really don't dig this game, this is a nice deal. I think I'll wait for the motion controlled version though. For better accuracy. I loved RE4:Wii, be RE yet and a lot was cause the motion helped with the stupid aiming system

9 - I could not recommend buying RE5.
It offers nothing over RE4 and I really hated having the forced single player co-op. The worst thing has to be the completely uninspired boss battles which are nothing but learn the pattern and beat them. There is no real AI to speak of.

If you're deciding between a budget RE5 or full price Uncharted 2, then go Uncharted 2.

I just picked up the collectors edition from Gamestop for 39.99.

Or if you guys dont mind a used copy gamefly.com has it for 19.99 with free shipping until 10-25-2009. Normally non members have to pay for shipping.
