Sony will be the only one of three platform holders to deliver a Games Convention 2008 press conference this afternoon, despite the Leipzig-based show commanding the some of the largest numbers of attendees on the event calendar.

Early on still but here are 2 points that interest me (and probably any other music lover) >

~ 8:22 a.m. -- Speaker is -- again -- pleased to announce a new music service for 23 PAL territories. VidZones. It's going to be seperate from the already established video service. Intriguing. Unlimited streaming of music on demand, totally FREE of charge. Um, all kinds of awesome? Yes, yes it is.

~ 8:23 a.m. -- You can use this streaming content to create custom playlists and it can be accessed via Remote Play on your PSP, and also including phone support. Wow, I'm actually pretty impressed by that

They're doing the "final touches" and are "doing the beta trials", apparently. "People are creating some truly fantastic things we didn't expect them to do." They can't wait to see what gamers across the world will create. Someone should tell them it will be c*cks, for the most part.

Lame, this gen sucks for home consoles IMO. Its all about the PSP and DS this gen, which is sad.
