A lot of games throw in boss fights as a sort of afterthought. They're not creative or particularly enjoyable, but they SHOULD be. Wow man, I'm tottally agree whith you! although I'm a suspicious one because I'm a fanatic of MGS, i think you're right, MGS bosses are the best and original! Look at The End battle, or the battle whith the Metal Gears in MGS2, the funny battle whith revolver ocelot in MGS3, etc, etc and yeah the battle whith psycho mantis is Really amazing and memorable!

I guess the author hasn't played that one. If I had written it I'd DEFINITELY include the bird fight from Colossus. Flying at that insane speed while you cling on for dear life made that one of the most epic boss fights I've ever played.

I would say the flying duck creature fight because it really is fun chasing him down and jumping from Agro onto the wing. It is also one of the few events in gaming that truly justifies the use of the word "EPIC".

WOW YOU'RE RIGHT MAN! he COMPLETLY forgot that one, WHAT A MISS! the lack of SoC colossus in this list is really inexcusable! I said previously that MGS bosses are the best ones, and I maintain that but SoC colossi are really one of the most amazing bosses I ever defeated...completly EPIC! I LOVE SoC!

anyone else feel that The End or Psycho Mantis should be there instead of Gray Fox?
i mean dont get me wrong, the gray fox battle was amazing, but the psycho mantis and end battles were epic

oh and the i agree, fighting the elite four is super fun

I would probably say either Psycho or Screaming Mantis, but not The End because fighting him is too tense to be 'fun'. (it's still a brilliant fight though)

Anyway I do agree with you on the end being very epic.

It took me an hour and a half to beat him the first time, but that was the most fun and intense hour and half of gamming I have every experienced.

Big Bad Wolf isn't all that fun, it's pretty boring imo. Gruul was a lot more fun for me, except I was the uber-DPS rogue in the group, so I was pretty scared at times when our tanks were doing poorly >.<

17 - Okay, off topic but
This is like the second or third time in the past week where I've read an article of people talking about how hard fighting the elite 4 in Pokemon was. Am I crazy, or am I the only person that thought the Elite 4 were a bunch of cakewalks? They are the same as every gym leader, they only use 1 type of pokemon, so you bring in their weakness and wipe out the whole team (that or just use an Alakazam b/c it was too cheap). The only one who is somewhat of a challenge is your Rival and even then, he is easy b/c the AI wasn't advanced enough to play weaknesses.

- Mega Drain
- Mega Punch
- Seismic Toss

It was really easy...even with just the one Pokemon.

-Psycho Mantis should be there
-I do think Emerald and Ruby in FFVII deserve to be in the list, but only one . . . probably Ruby.
-Never played SotC, and I REALLY want to, but I hear those bosses are ridiculous.
-The End in MGS3 is crazy . . . very intense and unique fight, he should be there.
-I noticed one of the comments said "Big Bad Wolf in WoW" . . . idk if you can include MMORPG bosses, but if you can Naxx, Onyxia, Illidan, Archimonde, Lady Vashj etc. from WoW are all great if your guild actually has the time to knock em down. 25 people working together to take something really complicated down is something amazing.
-Some God of War, Ninja Gaiden, or Devil May Cry bosses would be noteworthy. I'm thinking especially NG for the difficulty of all those bosses . . . Alma ;). DMC3 fighting Virgil at the end . . . omg classic.

I do like the list though, and enjoy the video links :).

I agree with all of those.

I just think DMC is a lot harder than NG. I love both series', but I didn't die once in NG:Sigma or NGII. In DMC3...it's ridiculous how many times you can see "you are dead" in an hour. I only died once in DMC4...but I powered up like nobody's business!

That Vergil fight was EPIC! The music was Fischerspooner's "The Devil's Cry" in symphonic form...GORGEOUS!

SotC is unbeatable...as far as bosses go. Actually, as far as atmosphere goes, the game is above anything else also.

Looking at the comments I agree with everyone. Hydra in GoW and Colossus in GoW2 I thought were pretty fun also.
