Halo 3 at #6?

Really?

Halo 3 was a good game. At times, even a great game.

One of the top 50 greatest games of all time? No. #6 on the list? CERTAINLY not.

Based on this list, sometimes I wonder if these people actually played games made before 2001.

I mean seriously, Final Fantasy X-2 at #7? Final Fantasy X at #2? Have the people voting actually PLAYED a Final Fantasy before the PS2? I realize FF VII is #1 on there, but IMO FF IV, FF VI, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Chrono Trigger are all better than the Final Fantasies after VII.

So true. Seriously, MK2 is not just ages better than original. It's among one of the best sequels of all time and a case where not only EVERYTHING has improved over original but there the amount of content and other things has doubled and every new thing is as good.

Now MK is my all time series but there is no way an MK game is among best of all time IMO. The whole list is pretty horrible if you ask me but this is indeed their opinion.

San Andreas was very good, but I thought Vice City was better then San Andreas. The guy who wrote up this list must have not played GTA IV.

Halo 3? No, that game is overrated. Halo (the 1st one) is the best Halo to date. COD 4 is beeter then Halo 3.
Were is Gears of War? Or Mario Bros, or God of War? or shoot, Metal Gear?

Worst list of this kind i've ever seen. Forget about ffx not deserving to be on the list, ff x-2 is the worst in the series by far. It shouldn't even be in the top 100 much less top 10.

If you're going to put a halo on there halo 1 is the the best in the series and way better than 3. MK 2 was also far better than MK 1, Metal gear solid and mgs3 were also both better than the first metal gear. And not a single classic mario platformer on the list? wtf were they smoking?

To not have a Castlevania in the top 50 is sacreligious ... let alone not to have Symphony of the Night in there somewhere. Did any of the constituency play vids before the new millenia or what? Final Fantasy 1, the birthplace of modern day rpgs should be in there maybe even FF2(4)... um DIABLO isn't even on there, yet some of the games on the list you couldn't pay me to play. Halo 3... I'm sorry, but it just doesn't deserve to be in a top 50 of all time, let alone a top 10. You'd have to be about 12 at the oldest ot put Halo up there.

Now, Halo 1 may get a place in the top 50 for me, because that game did give the FPS a well-needed kick up the arse. But, this is a top 10 OF ALL TIME, and Halo 3 doesn't deserve to be anywhere near this list.

This is more of a fanboy list, than a gamer list, to be honest. I think IGN's top 100 list was better, those guys seem to actually know something about gaming.

This is meant to be best games of all time, but instead, it's just an epic failure. Seriously, Halo 3 being on there is an embarrasment (no, I'm not a hater, I just know good games).

Although, I'm not sure the games you mentioned should make it onto a best of all time list, either. Best current-gen games, sure, but there's been some fantastic games in the past that N4G never seem to acknowledge. I hate to say it, but I think the average age of the N4G user is about 12, when you look at some members' taste in games...
