Gaming Union: Monster Hunter Tri TGS 2009 Hands-On

Gaming Union: "Monster Hunter has been a huge hit for Capcom ever since it first appeared in Japan all those years ago. Since then it's managed to sell more than 10 million copies as a franchise, and it doesn't look like this craze will stop any time soon.

Monster Hunter Tri was released a few months ago exclusively on the Nintendo Wii in Japan, and it's actually going to be the first console version of the franchise to see the light of day in the West. At this year's TGS, Gaming Union was fortunate enough to get their hands on the game, as well as testing out the new Classic Controller Pro."

Follows on from the old expression if its not broke, don't fix it. Although it does sound quite comparable to the others i'm looking forward to it.

They need to simultaneously release a new PSP version and a PS3 version and have alot of cross-connectivity between the two.

My reasons are:
1) the psp version sells alot more then what the Wii version has, and i mean alot more.
2) i would love to see a huge HD Monster Hunter world on the PS3, and quite frankly who wouldn't?
3) it would help not only PSP but PS3 sales in japan dramatically, this series is like the new Dragon Quest, now bring that success across to the PS3!

are you serious when you say "this series is like the new Dragon Quest"

you do know that DQ is like the holy grail over there. Might of mean > this series is like the new ( insert old franchise that selling ok)SF, RE etc...

You seem to be a Sony fan with the "help the ps3 sales",I don't think the point of releasing their game is help sales of X or Y console, but to release their game on a console they see viable to sell their software. They do have a target amount they put out to sell and investors are aware.

PSP has free MH online system, console version have to pay but since it's selling so well I don't think Capcom is worried but to jump start the series here they might want to make it free online.
