It ultimately doesn't really bother me, cause i still get to play it, but it does bother me that the game gets delayed and as well as MS not keeping up with TRUE competition, they should come up with new things instead of trying to hinder sony from succeeding even more..

This is highly unlikely if you ask me. Now most of us know about how SE has said it was MS themselves holding back a 360 version of XIV So if SE knew they were close to reaching a agreement they would not be saying all over the place that at launch it would be PS3 and PC only and they would also not have let Sony say it was exclusive to PS3 during their PS3 presser.

Chances are the game will eventually at some point come to 360 when MS can finally agree on a deal but I doubt it's now.

Not that many of you care about MMOs in the first place. I really wonder what the issue is about MMOs for M$?
I could see it happening only so that Sony can't claim they're the only ones with it but other than that it seems unlikely because of whatever that hidden reason was that other MMO attempts (beyond thePS2 FF MMO) on the 360 have been unsuccessful.

My thoughts
I really believe the hold up with this game is that M$ doesn't want PS3 gamers to be on the same severs as 360 gamers as "paying for Live" would come into question yet again. They might want 360 gamers to get charged less to play the game, 360 only severs or some extra thing they can tout over the PS3 version.

I can't wait to see how this all turns out.

For this game it really doesn't matter. PS gamers have had a bad taste in their mouths from FF MMOs last gen and from all the footage we've seen of it, there really nothing special there. I kind looks like the same thing from the PS2 gameplay wise.

The talk for this particular game has been weak to mediocre so perhaps SE might feel like moving this one over but I doubt you'll get PS3 gamers bothered at all.

Now SE comes out and says FFVs13 is now multiplat and watch the universe EXPLODE! lol

How SE has said many times about how they want to grow their business beyond Japan and 360 has a huge fanbase that will no doubt bring higher profits especially since their already making a pc version= 360 closely resemles. Hell they quickly corrected Jack at E3 about it being ps3 exclusive saying that its on PC too and considering other platforms. Yet some say micro opened their check book....nah I say SE is looking to bring this to 360, why not? Does anybody really want another mmo rpg, though? uugh

Unfortunately on my Fiscal 2008 Shareholder reports from Square Enix is that they haven't been making as much profits from the Xbox 360 as they could. The only way they are making money/brake even is from the money they got from Microsoft for development cost.

Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PSP for example has only been released for Japan as of the 2008 release, yet it has outsold The Last Remnant, Star Ocean IV, and Infinite Discovery combined (Total of International Sales). So far Square Enix hasn't release any games for the PS3, yet they have released their "classics" catalog on the Japanese PSN.

I don't know if this is sad, Final Fantasy VII for the PS1 on PSN has outsold The Last Remnant and Infinite Discovery as of the current fiscal report of July...

First you have to ask yourself if 360 has any console MMOs now or forthcoming; If it doesn't, then you have to ask yourself if it is even possible on the 360 or Live, seeing as how there are no plans for one and 360 hasn't demonstrated online high player count games.

Oh really, that's interesting so now that makes me think M$ might want to have this game only playable by gold subscription holders. You know how the Netflicks integration SHOULD be available to silver members as it would increase profits for netflicks but M$ instead wants to use it to add value to the gold membership?

Sonys 3 best games in years past are FF, God of War, and GT. yet in 3 years not one of them have been released. i love new games as much as the next guy but give me a break. To me it just seems like when i finally get a taste of these games, the PS4 will be on the horizon and that upsets me a little. BTW ive owned my 60 gig since launch an have never regretted buying it, but im tired of waiting for ps2 sequels.

Doubt this I think its just somebody getting a little hopeful. I think it may come to 360 if MS do a deal of some sort as Xbox live is obviously what's holding it back as with other MMO's right now. It didn't affect FFXI as it ran on playonline system. If this does come to 360 its not gonna be until at least 2011.

Dont worry, games dont have to be downgraded for dvd use, they can simply span them across disc's.
If you put Gears2 on a bluray it wont look better all of a sudden, putting something on dvd wont make it look worse, just span the discs.

And they wont downgrade the gfx for other reasons either, how many multi's out there look exactly the same?
Hardly any, most look better on one platform.

So now you can be relieved about it, but then again, it might turn out better looking on the platform you hate.

Didn't you watch the last interview of FFXIII on GameTrailers? Square had to remove a lot of things to make both games equal. Or what about Tales of Vespeira PS3, that it is coming with a lot of content that was left out of the X360 version because of space limitations.

I hope Square leaves FFXIII Versus as a PS3 exclusive to finally see a real next-gen FF game without getting a held back version like FFXIII. *Square lied about leaving the PS3 version unchanged. And they basically admitted it on that same interview I'm talking about.

You want all the PS3 exclusives then buy a PS3.

While it hasn't been confirmed that the new content for ToV was removed from the 360 version due to space there is one aspect that was never added into the game in the first place due to space. That would be the full voice over.

It's said that there is more new VO added into the PS3 version then there is space on a 360 DVD which is quite substantial while the 360 version was indeed only on 1 disc that doesn't mean the devs would not have had to pay for a 2nd so it still would have been a better idea for them to fit it onto a single disc if possible.

FF11 has always needed an HDD. If it needs installed with 3-5 disc most of or all of the data will be stored on the HDD. If you happen to own a 360 and buy this say goodbye to your 120gb HDD as most of it probably will be consumed by this online game.

Look at it this way.. The outdated FF11 uses about 10-12 gigabytes on a PS2 and PS3. The updates need install space to. If you combine that with the graphics update this version is bound to be bigger. It's been posted by the developers that the launch version of 14 will be about as big as the original FF11 pre-expansion.

"Tanaka: Compared to FFXI's Vana'diel launch point, FFXIV may be slightly smaller. However, because the graphic is more detailed and there is more content, we don't think you will feel that the world is small or anything like that. Also, one thing to mention is that FFXI was zone based, but FFXIV is going to be seamless, so from the city to the battlefield, you won't notice any sort of zone change."

I agree. FFXIV should be on 360 as well. The bigger user base the better.

FFvXIII should definitely stay as a PS3 exclusive and I'm going to bet that Tetsuya Nomura will make sure of that. I think he's the one keeping it from going multiplatform because I assume he wants to use every possible ability that the PS3 has.

Then again, since we haven't heard nothing from it, maybe I'm entirely wrong. In the end I shouldn't really care considering I own both a PS3 and 360, but I just don't want the game to be dumbed down or delayed because of it going multiplatform.

Its not that FF13 is a multiplat, is what they did... they lied for 2 years of it being exclusive...

If FF13 were announced as a multiplat since the very beggining it should not hurt anyone, but they lied... and they will keep lying like the money sucking prostitutes they are.
