How can you say you have yet to see PS3 outperform xbox when it has done it since, Uncharted and GT5:P. I know that can perhaps be debateable, but then we have games like MGS4, KZ2 and Heavy Rain. Those games are without doubt the most impressive games so far. (Even though KZ2 and HR isn't out yet).

Which both happen to be SANDBOX games, Sandbox games REQUIRE 1 disc to be done PROPERLY. If you had a brain, you`d realize that. But, what can I really expect from you?

When are you guys gonna realize, the PS3 will start getting more and more exclusives by DEFAULT seeing as certain types of games (sandbox,racing,sports ex.) REQUIRE 1 disc to perform PROPERLY. MLB2k8 or 2k9 (don`t remember) HAD to have a MANDATORY D/L because of DVDs space on the 360 for the 360. What`s gonna happen w/ the next one?

More and MORE devs are going PS3 lead platform, more and more devs and COMPLAINING about DVD and saying the 360s tapped.

FIND ME ONE article that says the PS3 is "tapped" and I`ll SHUT UP.

see,if the dvd won't affect the development processe,no problem do it for both 360 and ps3,so more gamers can enjoy it,I have the 360 version of ac cause of better graphics and the addictive achievement system

limited disc capacity will do 3 things this gen for open world games:

1. they will reduce the world in size to fit
2. they will need to be installed on an HDD
3. they will be a pain in the ass if needed to be swapped

Sandbox games can be put on multiple disks. Any game can be put on multiple disks. Unless the number of disks gets silly (like more than 5 disks) it's perfectly OK. Blu-ray isn't needed for games right now - maybe in the future when games can use up to 100Gbs - but if they are using 40Gbs MAX that's 5 DVDs which is perfectly acceptable IMHO.

Example of how multiple disks can be used in a sandbox game: Remember GTA:Vice City's areas that it had to load between? Just like that, but it asks you to change the disk, then it loads. See it's not hard. It might be a slight inconvenience but an INSTALL EACH TIME YOU WANT TO PLAY ON A DIFFERENT ACT (which happens each time you play if you have 2 people on the same console at different points in the game) in MGS4 is a much bigger inconvenience so devs wouldn't hesitate to put gamers through the hassle.

Don't get me wrong but I think AC2 could be the only sandbox game that would maybe benefit from the DVD9. Wait, read everything before you hit the disagree button ;). In AC1 they used every location twice. With all locations split on 2 discs they would have to make more of them and let you go everywhere just once, or otherwise this would suck. But still going back for collection flag (for example) would really be a pain in the ass

You're still talking out of you ass aren't you (rhetorical question, I know you're)? Well as I said, it's their own loss if they want to make the game exclusive for the PS3.
Games sell a lot better on the 360, you know it, we all do. So unless Sony's paying developers to stay exclusive, I just don't see why they would want to make a game for the 360.

In fact, as sales go, Microsoft has more chances of getting this game exclusive. They'll probably announce it on the next E3 btw

You got owned HD. I never realised that my comment about vice city was not only true, but there actually WAS a version of vice city with more than 1 disk. You can't say "it was on PC so doesn't count". It's possible to put a sandbox game on more than 1 disk. Assassin's Creed had different parts to it anyway it wasn't just 1 big seamless world. There's little chance of AC2 being PS3 exclusive when the first one was multiplat and even had a spin-off on the DS.

i understand your the defender of the weak/attacked (whatever console it is) an all that but in this case you defending is also a show of fanboyism ironically. Sandbox games and multi disks dont work, just like driving games. We've heard numerous times from devs that games will be getting larger so your 'slow drive speed(lie/misinformation) and mandatory installs (no issue for ps3 owners if the game runs smoother) are redundant. A baseball game couldnt fit, GTA couldn't even fit full size TV images on the disk. You may say 'well so what who wants full size tv shows?' and ill say you missed the point. dvd<9 is truly holding some games back. It doesn't need to be taken into the holy sony evil MS crap because that's just deflection almost like a siege mentality. Devs have questioned both the fact that an old media is being used and a lack of mandatory hdd's in the 360 and its way too easy to get that info. Devs would say more about this but they dont want to hurt potential sales, its so obvious.

hold up. Did somebody just say a pc version that installs is ownage. *chuckles* clutch much, last time i checked most pc games were on more than 1 dvd. once installs most no cd cracks makes disks useless....whatever next

The ps3 is not and never will be more powerful then 360. We don't need to go into this discussion and really it all boils down to this being your opinion. Just because you say it's more powerful doesn't mean it is oreven squat because you dont know. Uncharted had it's moments just like gears 1, and then KZ2 has it's moments but I can almost guarantee when it's said and done Gears2 will look better. There's a lot of unused potential in 360 and next year for example we will see more and more games outstrip the oh so powerful PS3. You claim not to be a fanboy but making claims like that sure as he11 makes you look like one. Also the PS3 is maxed out pretty much and I believe that they are going to have problems unless they make smaller games pushing it's potential. Sony really screwed up in it's design and this is why all future titles like even God of War 3 will be short and very cinematic. Don't under estimate the 360 dude because you will end up being wrong just like every PS3 fanboy has been to date.

I know Msft kinda fked up with the mandatory HDD thing. But at the same time mandatory HDD on the PS3 is making lazy developers on the PS3 choose the easy route (mandatory installs). Games on the PS3 shouldn't need pre-installs and Uncharted is a good example of that.

What some people don't get is that Microsoft gives you the choice: You want to watch HD movies? Get a HD-DVD player and plug it to your 360 or just DL it from the Marketplace. Same goes for Wifi, HDD, game installs (as from November 19th)...

Sandbox games can be fitted in two discs.

What usually takes up space is the events.(i.e.in disc1 you can still fully explore the world but when you reach a certain part in the story you need to change to disc 2.Like Shenmue1&2)

If you ask me, mandatory installs on a console is BS. Consoles are supposed to be quick to pick up and play, but a 10+ minute install the first time you play voids that notion. Sure, it's fine after the first time, but I don't see why it's even necessary. Consoles have always gotten by without it just fine.

Wanna know something? I was a huge fan of The Sands of Time series on PS2.
Sands of Time is one of the best games I have ever played.
Warrior Within, while not as good as the first one had a great combat system and a good twist revealing Kaileena to be the Empress.

I'm very sorry that my opinion forced you to go on a rampage, but I honestly do not like the style of this new Prince of Persia game. I mean seriously, are you happy that the Prince is coming out with stuff like "Lets hold hands"?
