I think its the fact that his neck is wider than his face that inspires UT/Gears feel. He looks like a pinhead, kinda like marcus fenix.
Anyway, hope its good, I like TECMO, good devs, hope they can keep up the good work without Itagaki and most of his team.

The only bad camera ever to come from TECMO is in ninja gaiden 2, let's hope they've learned from their mistakes! Story, don't care, its just going to be generic and predictable stuff, just like 99.9% of video games.

but realistically probably just a cutscene, but graphics look great and the explosions look awesome, It's just i'm really into the more grittier darker less energy blast gunplay like Killzone 2 and Gears of War, so not really my style but yeah looking like an awesomee game!

Like firstly this CGI (yes so stop saying it looks good) trailer runs like a FPS, these people in the video are just blasting through, so if this is a third person it might be a bit different then this. Also it looks a lot like an asain version of unreal tourney and that game let me down. Maybe its cuz I bought uncharted the same week and never touched unreal tourney again:P

ok I dont have a 360 but I love some 360 games, gears is my fav. I might be pro-sony but comeon. You've barely seen any of this game and are alrdy saying that? I think gears has some of the most innovative and scary lookin mother f'ers ive seen in a game. They look like they would be tough to take down. Please no fanboyism. Like the pic tho. What I see:

1 - No in game gameplay
2 - Cookie cutter, over sized, lead guy running around in "nano" armor like Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo, Too human and countless others.
3 - Fighting the Same robot army that has been cast in tons of other games.

I've no doubt Tecmo can make a good product, they absolutly have, can and probably will again; but we haven't seen anything on this game to warrent a "where's the bots now" comment. C'mon, guys... this is why Sony's fans are looked down on.

i don't really know what i feel about this game, but hey, as long as it's not using UE3, i think i'm good.

the art design looks good, but again, it's heavily giving off a Japanese Gears vibe.

considering that i'm not a fan of Gears of War, i'll remain cautiously optimistic about this title.

Tecmo knows how to make fun games, but i'm worried about the story, as that's never been their strong point.

If this has the cover system and similar gameplay to Gears of War then there is absolutely no reason for me to buy a xbox 360 anymore. PS3 needs more TPS. What a strange mix of TPS and a weird non futuristic universe. Hope the best for this game.

The trailer looked alright nothing big. Looked cheesy for most of the video but the ice fist thing looked cool. Other than that not excited but this is just a 2 minute CGI trailer.

The beginning of the video looked like the Mortal Kombat movie when they went to the underworld to fight Shang Tsung. The 2 characters look pretty cool, I think the trailer could've been better...the whole "run-toward-enemy-while-e nemy-shoots-everything-but-hero " stuff is kinda lame. But art direction wise it looks real interesting.

Hmmm i didn't think he looked like guts to be honest. Besides maybe the cut on his eye. But he does kind of look like Guts. Like how Guts would look as some beefed up marine on the UE.

I hate it when anime series just end, but dam they couldn't have chose a worse place for this one. It's unfortunate too, since it was such an awesome story.

Anyway, personally I'm hoping for more Gears of War than DMC. The punch at the end and the woman's sword worry me though. I think a lot of people are gonna be disappointed when this turns out not to be a TPS, but an action game (like DMC/NG) instead. However, tps/action could be a cool combo if they threw a cover system in.

I know nothing about this game though, and if that does happen we still have Eat Lead: Matt Hazard (which sounds awesome).

I loved the ending. I played the original Guts Rage: Sword of the Berserker on the dreamcast so i know what happens a bit after the anime finishes. I do like how it ended though. You know he survives but you want to see how he did it etc. I would love for a second season to come out based on the rest of the manga. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Good point. I just didn't like how it ended for her. It made it hard to recommend the series to anyone (being as it wanders into extremely mature territory). I also really wish someone revived it and finished the series properly. I'd love to know what happens, but don't really have the time or money for the manga. I read the first volume half way through before realizing/remembering the Japanese read right to left, lol. I was wondering why it didn't seem to make any sense.

It did at least give us a glimpse of how the story continued before ending, though.

If Tecmo can pull this off, they could make a lot of money, which they really need. I hope Sony at least part fund development, because a co-op TPS like Gears is something Sony really lacks (especially since I hope Uncharted stays single player).
