It isn't like they will run out of space...

If they are planning to release this movie again, and went so far as to add details such as dirt, do you really think they will add less content? I was thinking the opposite.

Yes but with the way SquareEnix are at the moment (constant re releases of old games to milk money) it wouldn't suprise me if they missed an extra or 2 off the blu ray version so that you would need the blu ray and the DVD to see all the extra features, then again I HOPE I am wrong and it has all the extra's of the DVD plus more

Final Fantasy reinvents itself with every release. They do not go the safe route. Milking is more justifiable in a company like EA or a game like Mario where the same game is released year after year.

Ohkay. I'm REALLY REALLY confused.

There was a copy of FF:AC on Blu-ray at Best Buy the other day. Was that a misprint or something? I know it wasn't FF:SW. Seriously though...it was there at Best Buy. I can go look for it later and send a picture in if you guys want.

Ah DARN, so now i will get my 3rd iteration of FF7:AC, The localized DVD, The original Jpn steelbox version + now the BluRay version.

\o/ darn addiction :S

Let's pray it won't be region locked and has a decent sub + original language. Most dubs ain't worth the money.

Final Fantasy Blu Ray Remastered Vesion = mini PS3 system seller! It will be interesting to see the sales trend of the release of a bluRay MOVIE instead of a game. First time in history.

I doubt that. Even though I personally love FF, I would never go out and buy a PS3 just for this. Thats not to say that other might just do that, but chances are that if you like FF, you already have the dvd and save the occasional person the average person wouldn't go out and buy the same movie again.

Kind of like how you probably wont go out and replace all your dvds with what ever format wins. Its also why I prefer HD-DVD since they forced all players to be backwords compatible. Not that bly-ray can do this also, but it isn't a forced feature which is quite stupid in my opinion.
