Q-Games is a PSN Juggernaut

Q-Games is a small Kyoto, Japan based company that has come a long way since its first release of PixelJunk Racers. Since then they have released two more installations in the series: Monsters and Eden. Because of the continued success of these titles, the developers have continued to support these titles by releasing expansions.

I've never thought about a PSN title as a "Day 1" purchase. I will always be exited to see a new pjGame.

I've found PSN has a lot of games I pick up on day 1.

I mean, PixelJunk Eden is a prime example of a game that really is instant buy.

I just finished monsters on casual difficulty. And got 42 spectra's on Eden.

both are AMAZING games. From graphics to sound, they define quality gaming!

I spent more hours on eden, than i usually do on a $60 retail game.

2 - Yup I love PJ Eden!
Although it wasn't a day 1 purchase for me, (since i didn't know what it was, and wasn't familiar with the quality this studio puts out) i played eden to death. Got all the spectras and all the trophies. Definitely gets harder and more interesting towards the end!! SSHD was day 1 for me tho. Don't regret it. Love PSN titles. Great quality.

5.1 - None of which are PJ games.
There's demos for PJ Monster - which you should have played long ago - and Racers if you want to try their one "failure" so far.

Youtube has tons of Eden movies if you want to see how that's played.

I love Pixeljunk Eden.
The game is very unique and I've collected all available trophies for it.
The music was perfect for this title.

8.2 - Q-Games is pretty much the only PSN-only dev out there.
So its a moot point.

The only one out there with more than one title anyway.

Edit:
Q-Games has earned recognition by delivering good fun games, not been handed it by making something that qualifies as both tech demos and digital art.

what about ThatGameCompany? fl0w and flower were big... but not bigger than PJ games... sure TGC has ties with SCEA and Santa Monica studios.. but that doesn't mean that an independent can't beat them out for the crown

For me Crash commando was a first day purchase, and SSDHD!!! that game is truely to me one of the best DL games on the PSN...

Before eden i never gave any of the pixel junk games a chance, i just saw all the hype for eden and bought it out as soon as it came up on the store, without trying the demo and i loved it, then went and bought the rest :p

I'd love for sony to buy out Q-Games.

I must admit that I did not like Eden much. It got frustrating falling from very high all the way to the bottom. Maybe I sucked at it.

I find myself buying way too many PSN games these days...lol.
