But to those of us that venture to read this site, it is all to obvious that GT5 or any GT for that matter will never see the light of day on any other brand console. It's interesting too, I have waited so long for this title that I have cleared it from my anticipation list. I will get it when it hits the store shelves. I just cannot keep anticipating the title any longer. It's a day one purchase for me but it was just getting too painful desiring this game. lol

Gran Turismo, the #1 racing franchise, which all other racers strive to emulate(FORZA3), will never grace the xbox 360 - it would take more than 3 discs to include all the content!

This game is massive, over 1000 cars, tons of tracks, all done in 1080p at 60fps, the only racer to achieve this.

What this article is referring to is whether or not it will come out on PC, which Sony has hinted at before. It most likely will, but long after the console version is released, seeing as how computer piracy accounts for up to 60% of a games circulation.

I just think its funny how people try and claim Forza is better than GT when Forza is just a pale imitator. W/O GT there is no FORZA!

Have we seen screenshots of Forza 3? If so wheres the link to those pics? If not then your only speculating Forza 3 will be just as good. Dont get me wrong I am hoping Forza 3 will be visualy as good as GT5 and cant wait for Forza 3 but we cant say how good Forza 3 will look like until we get actual gameplay pics.

Yeah this is my concern. With the only thing that set Prologue miles ahead of the rest being its graphics, and with other titles being able to catch up in many other areas as well (such as variety of vehicles, physics), and with other titles already having better online and damage models, I can see GT5 being trumped before it even comes out. Which is a shame. They just have too few people working on it, and they're not working fast enough.

...it's because it is going to be special that it's going to take a long time. People seem to forget that GT4 took around 4 years to come out from the time GT3 came out and that had a crap load of tracks and 700 cars! Now it came out in Europe and US in 2005 so 4 years from then would put it at 2009 (though it'll probably slip into 2010 for EU and US release)

If you want 1080p, 60fps, beautifully modeled cars, damage, a hell of a lot of tracks and EVEN more cars, it's not going to be made quickly is it?

If Forza 3 does come out before GT5 and looks and runs the same the same as GT5 Prologue and also has as many tracks and cars as the upcoming GT5, THEN I'd be annoyed....

....but something tells me that isn't gonna happen.

As for Need for Speed:Shift, I've been burnt by that series too many times to care. Need for Speed keeps forgetting it's identity. I hated Pro Street. Either they go back to Hot Pursuit 2 with cops chasing yo ass through streets or just dump the series because no amount of pretty graphics will help unless the game is actually good.

You may be right, but there are an awful lot of games that took a long time to develop and weren't really any better for it. I'm not saying GT5 will end up like that, it's just that when you get the final product, I bet you within 10 minutes of playing you'll easily be able to see something they could have added or improved that they didn't despite all that time. After all this time, will the tracks have properly modelled trees? It looks doubtful. Whilst it shines in certain areas of graphics, they're still using PS1-era trees.

My point was that they have too few people working on it. If it's taking that much time, hire more people. If you put the same number of man-hours in it's going to have just as much content, it'll just come out a lot sooner. They've clearly underestimated the amount of time it'll take - and I think this is especially true for damage which they said would be patched into prologue. Prologue also probably took out quite a bit of development time and we could have seen the full release a few months earlier had Prologue not been
released.

There's a reason that 2 Forza games can come out in the space of 1 GT. That's because Gran Turismo is the real driving simulator.

Don't forget that this version is getting car damage as well. And you'll see the difference between GT's damage and Forza's damage (aka. the front bumper snapping off when going 100mph into a wall)

Jason you would have been the first one to say its coming to the 360 if i didn't post that comment, and 'why dis' KZ2 and MGS4 have already rendered the 360 useless, WHY? because they both cant be done on the MatchBoX-3sh1ty THATS WHY!, you probably think the release of MGS4 and KZ2 didn't have an impact on the 360, but technically and not by your dumb flippin sales you always bring up its already destroyed the 360, remember both consoles are competing in hardware and not sales and the PS3 has been proven to have better hardware in its first 2yrs, and the 360 in its 4th yr hasn't produced a game even close to KZ2 or even Uncharted1.
