I never realized Dark Cloud sold a million.Wow.

Also I easily knew Dragon Quest VIII is their most successful game.

The first one was horrible though. The second one was pure awesome. Just creating your own towns, fishing and taking pictures of stuff to create things was addicted enough.

O man "Jeanne d’Arc (PSP) - 220,000 World Wide"- this game deserved so much more than this :(
Dark Cloud 2 also deserves way more than 900k, that game is so awesome, i finished it 3 times, don't remember when i last did with any game. For me that was/is Sonys Zelda.

Jeanne d'arc is amazing. Sad to see great games with such low sales and see generic average games get big sales numbers. Level 5 are great game makers and I can't wait for WKC to arrive in the U.S.

Yeah, that is a truly a shame how badly it sold. It was a high quality title. My favorite Level 5 game by far. I'd say even deeper and more balance then Valkyria Chronicles and it was a handheld game. But I guess we may never see a sequel to either game though...

so why havent we heard anything about a new Dark Cloud since obviously Level 5 has a large fanbase? And Im sure Sony would be glad to publish the game...

Heh, Sony own the rights to the game, but I have no doubt Level-5 will be happy to carry it on.

I'm guessing that coming off White Knight, they're probably starting on their next project which will probably be announced at TGS.

5 - Dragon Quest 8 FTW.
That doesn't come as much of a surprise to me, considering I was one of those 4.8 mil who graciously gave 68 hours to playing that masterpiece.

Ironically enough, I haven't been able to play all the way through a JRPG since.

I decided to give Professor Layton and the Curious Village a shot and it's surprisingly well done

Level-5 are one of the few company out there that does games for like and not money *cough* SE* cough*
dont come up with *the sales arent that good this company is a flop*
thats the mostly stupid excuse ever, all theyr games are fun and quality ones, i trust them now more than any RPG company.

Oh no, they totally don't work for money that's why they totally haven't been hired by SE to work on DQ.

Don't be daft, of course they work for money. They just won't work for MS after the way they got treated by them Last Gen, can't say I blame them either.

Level 5 should get more grace. They make some awesome games. Mine, being Rogue Galaxy. That was a remarkable game. I also love the random encounter with realtime fights.

Dark Cloud FTW! The first one is by far my fav game. Been waiting six years for the next installment, and I am sure it will come. Ive been relentlessly searching for info and watching interviews, and every time Dark Cloud is mentioned they seem to be very optimistic about continuing the franchise. Even more so then Rouge Galaxy, because of their larger fan base, proven here. Can't wait for that TGS announcement!

I've never purchased a Level-5 game, and the only game of theirs I've played is a demo of Dragon Quest VIII. I'll definately be picking up White Knight though if ever it's released in the UK.
