IGN GDC 09: Bungie Still Working on Halo 3 Content

IGN writes: "At the Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco, Bunige producer Allen Murray gave a talk about the studio's production process, which has gone through a major evolution of late. Formerly a one-project shop, Bungie has changed its approach to facilitate the development of multiple projects simultaneously. That's good news for gamers."

2 - Even if you hate Halo
You have to admit that they are one of the most supportive developers when it comes to their fanbase. They really do care, and keep making their games fresh and exciting. I have played Halo more than almost any other game and this is one of the reasons.

Sh!t, I still put in Halo 2 and play matchmaking from time to time.

The quality of DLC for Burnout Paradise has gone decidedly south recently. Also it takes a lot longer to tweak and test a multiplayer map to perfection, especially when you know it will be played to death by hundreds of thousands when it's released.

Maps, maps and more maps.. Props to Bungie for supporting the game. The game is getting a bit long in the tooth. Just sold my Halo 3 because it's just feels out dated now.

It's the right content.

And they listen to what the community wants, We [the community] asked for a larger foundry like map, and that's what bungie gave us.

We asked for a smaller map for 1 flag, and bungie gave us assembly.

We ask for more junk in forge they made the golf clubs and golf balls.

I played Halo 3 today for the first time in a few weeks and instantly got sucked back into again, for me the Halo games have an almost timeless appeal, endless scope for "OMG did you just see that??!!?!?" moments when playing with mates. Outstanding stuff.

Any news that Bungie is hard at work on anything is great news for gamers. Havent had a chance to play the Mythic pack yet. But, I'll definately try to get the new achievements once I finish Star Ocean 4 and Resident Evil 5..

Bungie are without doubt one of my favourite developers, they support and stay in touch with their community like no other developer around. They are fully deserving of the success Halo has bought them and I can't wait to see where they go after Halo ODST.
