Nintendo Megaton on the way? Press warned

Gamezine: As Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata gets ready for his keynote, the press have been told not to record past the first few minutes.

...which could be a hint towards, what the kids like to call, a 'megaton.'

I wouldn't get too excited. It's probably nothing super amazing, but maybe something good for Wii owners. If anything it's bragging about their sales records or hyping something that's 3 years away.

What and new Zelda? New Mario? New Metroid? New Donkey Kong? None are megaton worthy, because they are a given. Now, if Nintendo came out and said, they are working with Sony or Microsoft to make a new game or new console. That would be megaton worthy. Other than that, they are just tossing firecrackers.

A new Zelda/Mario is not a megaton announcement it's going to happen and isn't a "surprise", as he keeps saying in the keynote, but it would be a damn good announcement!

There will be lots of announcements that are not for normal gamers but developers. The 32GB card thing is pretty sweet to me though, DLC reality and it's fast.

that's hilarious. I'd be fine with that as long as sega hand a hand in deciding the specs of the console and nintendo had creative control in all the sonic team games. That way there could actually be a good sonic 3d game, ha.
